Enjoyed the musicians and charming older theatre. They offer good performers often with distinct 'flavor'.

Liked everything about this concert! Great venue and memorable music! House was packed, but felt intimate and close to the performers.

The Buskirk Chumley Theatre is an outstanding venue for plays, music or anything that requires a nice stage. It is city owned and as nicely renovated movie theatre. This particular outing, we saw "Shrek the Musical" put on by the outstanding Cardinal Stage Company! This theatre is an absolute gem for the city of Bloomington. We have seen some great national, regional and local talent at this wonderful venue!

This is a beautiful old historic building. For years it was a movie theater. Now they have live performances. It is worth going just to see the old building. They host a lot of community events that benefit the town. A very nice place.

I've been going to this theater for close to ten years now to see music acts when they stop through Bloomington, and it's always a treat. The last time I visited was in the fall of 2013 to see the supremely talented Jens Lekman. The place is beautifully constructed and well maintained, and the sound is tremendous no matter where you are seated. The only negative I can give the venue is the sometimes steep ticket prices. This is only a minor complaint, however, and the Buskirk-Chumley shines.

We used to bring our first daughter here for Disney animated movies. Then it fell on hard times only to be rescued by the city and civic groups. A great venue for concerts and the like.

I've been here to see musical performances, theatrical productions, and most recently to hear Junot Díaz speak. I love the atmosphere and decor of the old theater. The acoustics are good--you can hear perfectly from anywhere. They have concessions, including beer and wine. Easy to buy tickets online or at the box office. They also do will call.

Having lived in Bloomington for the past 40 years, I can remember when the Buskirk-Chumley was the Indiana Theater and only showed movies. Now it's primarily a live-show venue, hosting a variety of plays, music and other performances. It's also the home of the annual Bloomington Pride Film Festival. Much of the old-school charm endures and has been lovingly preserved.

This theater is an Art Deco gem just off the town square in Bloomington, IN. Nicely preserved thanks to dedicated volunteers, it offers an eclectic mix of shows.

If you have been to any Performance Theater this one will not knock your socks off. Yes, it is intimate, has a few shows a year, but it seems to be vacant most of the time sitting idle screaming USE ME! Its a former movie theater so the site lines are great.

I enjoyed my visit at theater. I enjoyed a live show. and a very funny and well acted performance by some very talented actors. It was a very refreshing experience.

I like when they save these theaters and find uses for them. A variety of events are brought here. Check to see what is going on while you are in Bloomington. Just off the square and walking distance to many eateries. Parking can be an issue as it is in most places downtown Bloomington.

Went and saw "To Kill A Mockingbird" - seats were nice and comfy - I think any location would be a good seat - sound was very good = there was upstairs seating as well - we went up and looked during intermission and it had good views of the stage as well. Very nice!

I have seen a couple of shows and a play here. It's a really nice, old theater. Great sounds and a really nice atmosphere.

This theater has a wonderful atmosphere, great for seeing acoustic instruments and is very charming. It is located on the main strip in Bloomington and is busy on friday and saturday nights.
