Tucked away in a little out of the way corner of Hoosier National Forrest is a gem of a box canyon located in the middle of a 1.2 mile improved trail. Natural cliffs, rock formations, old growth trees without a concession stand or wifi hub for miles. The hike isn't too difficult or lengthy. Plenty to see and explore. I'd not want to do this with really small children but elementary and up would be just fine ( our 8 year old thought it was awesome and he wasn't completely done in by the hike). Tip #1 : if you want to see waterfalls - May. Tip #2 : if the weather has been particularly cold and wet in December or January, you can see frozen waterfalls
