This mansion tour will take you back in time. The docent brought to life not only the structure but the people who lived in Seiberling and the time when they lived. Well worth a visit!

This mansion is especially beautiful at Christmas! Decor in every room, harpist playing, lights on exterior made it look like a castle!

I was part of a group tour. Our guide was great and the rooms really are fantastic. It's true that they just don't make them like that anymore! It's too bad that they have so little historic documentation on the house, so that the rooms are certainly in keeping with the period, they're can't re-create what was there originally.

I have to admit that I am somewhat biased since I lived in Kokomo not far from the mansion for about six years and passed by it almost daily during that time. The mansion houses some of the Howard County Historical Society collection. Highlights include a piano and organ, glassware, silverware, and toys, all from Kokomo and most from the late 1800s/early 1900s. They had a special Delco exhibit and an Indiana Historical Society display on the history of the automotive industry in Indiana. Neither exhibit would be worth a trip alone, but they added freshness to the exhibits and were worth the stop, if you are in the area.I have to commend the Society for updating and refreshing as well as outright changing exhibits on a regular basis to keep the experience fresh. There are some favorites like the stoves on the second floor, but I saw several changes since my last visit 14 months ago.MUST-SEE: Go to the third floor ballroom and work your way to the back. There is a small room off to the west side. Inside is a diorama titled "Who Killed Cock Robin". If you are familiar with the poem, you will find everything form it there.

This museum is just GORGEOUS inside. It has great exhibits, and is a truly beautiful example of victorian design. Definately worth a stop.

Fantastic house museum, a must see if you are in Kokomo, IN. Well worth the $4 or so that it cost to get in.
