We were so disappointed because we drove all the way from Northern Ky (Southgate, Ky on the Ohio River) to see and enjoy the winery and vineyards at Lovers Leap. It is not easy to find either as it really off the beaten track but we traveled on excitedly because we LOVE the wines that they make there. I especially love the "Win Place Show" red wine....it is awesome! Had planned to buy a full case there upon our arrival and fun day out. We drove back the roads to the winery and the grounds are absolutely beautiful!! the most vibrant grounds we have toured in Ky. vineyards.....we arrived to find a CLOSED sign on the door to the tasting room and vineyards. WE called the number listed but no answer......bummer after all. My advice to you is to call before you go that day! I called the day before and was not told they would be closed the next day.....when I called and complained I was told : " it was harvest day"......I went to my local liquor store and bought my case of Lovers Leap wine anyway...... it is awesome!!!! It will be worth the trip if you can find them open! Beautiful place!

had the pleasure to visit the Lovers Leap Vineyards and Winery in Lawrenceburg, Kentucky. Kentucky is home to the first commercial vineyard in the United States and once produced more than half of the Nation’s grape and wine output. Brian Sivinski is not one of those celebrities with fame who just put his name and label on a wine. Rather he is one of the select few, the truly passionate wine makers. Brain is actually involved in everything in making a fine wine. Brain said “for me the most difficult part of wine making is having the ability to reach a perfect balance of the wines from the grapes. I have always been the kind of person to get it done right now, but wine making requires you to wait for the right moment and time”.

First, even though Tripadvisor lists this in Indiana, it's actually in Lawrenceburg, Kentucky - just south of Frankfort, between Louisville and Lexington, on Rt 127 between I-64 and the Bluegrass Pkwy. What an excellent trip. The grapes are grown right there and the facility was clean, modern, and accomodating. The staff was outstanding, they really know everything about wine. We even spent time with the owners, who were friendly and welcoming. We tasted several wines and all were outstanding. We bought an assortment to take home. This facility is large enough for weddings, parties, or whatever. What I like is it's a first rate operation but still small enough to be personable and welcoming. I've done a few wine tastings but this one tops them all. Even the surrounding countryside is beautiful! I recommend a trip here.

Six of us visited the winery recently. It was a great experience. The staff are very knowledgeable and personable, the wine was great, we ended up staying several hours! we will definitely visit again!
