We went to a wonderful wedding and it was great. The staff was very helpful and really made it special. They had a big tent set up out back for dancing and food and drinks inside.

My husband and I went away for a few days to Michigan's wine country. On our way back home to Chicago, we drove through Michigan City, IN and decided to try Shady Creek Winery. What a great stop! Not only are the samples free but the wine is good! The red wine grapes are from California, making the red wines fabulous. We were greeted by a couple of knowledgeable people who made us feel comfortable and welcomed. There's plenty of space at the counter, with tables and chairs in the back. There's a small menu to order from too. I didn't feel crowded in, even though there were quite a few of people there. I highly recommend this place for couples, friends, and wine lovers because there's: 1) free tastings, 2) a nice selection of red and white wines, and 3) it's nearby beach towns and outlet malls.

2nd time visiting here. we love the atmosphere. live music both time's we've come. complimentary wine tastings with 5 samples. our favorite is the Sandy Beach! Tim was awesome serving us and giving us a great restaurant referral! highly recommended!

We stopped in on a whim to kill time until we could check in to our hotel. We bought a case of wine! The staff was extremely friendly and knowledgeable about their wines. AND...they are open on Sunday's!

This was the first winery that my husband and I stopped at on the way to New Buffalo and found the staff to be really friendly and helpful! Tastings are free, which is rare for the area (as we ended up finding out later) and we bought a bottle of Beach Glass wine.

The first time that I walked into the tasting room, the ambiance, comradery and hospitality was overwhelming. Blend that with the outstanding wines that they offer which made the wine experience like no other. From sweet whites to bold reds, their wine is award winning excellent. Forever a customer.

I love stopping a Shady Creek and stocking up when I visit the Lighthouse Mall in Michigan City. Tasting and relaxing in the comfortable tasting room is a great way to end a day of shopping. Riptide Red, Rescued Dog Red, Beach Glass (white) and Sandy Feet (white) are my personal favorites. The staff is so friendly and welcoming. Tasting is complimentary for 5 selections; prices of wine by the glass and bottles are reasonable. They also provide a small discount when you purchase a case and better yet that case can be mix and match of the selections.

We tried this winery about a year and a half ago on a friend's recommendation and return whenever we can! The pourers are friendly and accommodating, the tasting room inviting, and the wines are tasty and affordable! Our favorites are Riptide Red and Beach Glass. We have brought different friends on several occasions and whether it's a few of us or a crowd, we have always felt welcome. It's a great way to wind up a weekend with wine, snacks and great music.

Great hoosier hospitality, welcomed us like family and sampled several wines. Had some unique good cherry wine which we purchased as well as some nice sweet wines, glad we stopped for this experience.

I really enjoyed this winery. I liked all of their wines and ended up buying a case. The people were very friendly. I sat outside and had a glass before returning home. It is very close to the Lighthouse Mall and Blue Chip Casino. Worth the stop if you enjoy wine.

I have been here numerous times with a variety of people. It's always enjoyable and the people are super nice. Sometimes they have a musician. There is quite a bit of seating and I really like ordering a bottle or 2 here and just sitting with friends to drink and chat.

Great find. This winery is just minutes from the Lighthouse Outlets. Tried almost all the wines and there was not one that disappointed. Each one was better then the next. If you like sweet wines I would highly recommend White Caps...great summer wine. While you are there order a cheese platter. The cheese and crackers are perfectly paired with the wine. Will be back soon.

My mother in-law, daughter and I decided to take Black Friday to visit local wineries. The setting was filled with holiday spirit as they put up the garland around the beautiful fireplace. The fire was glowing as we relaxed at one of the tables with our glass of wine and ordered a cheese brie platter that went well for our snack. The owners were hospitable and made you very welcomed as we tried a variety of their award winning wines. If you enjoy wines stop by and see them then try a few of their wines. The artwork and photography along with the cute wine gift shop. You can enjoy a relaxing afternoon. A definite place to stop if you are in the New Buffalo, Michigan and Michigan City , Indiana beach area.

Nice winery, friendly staff. We were lucky enough to visit on a Sunday when they had live acoustic /music. Fun time. We will plan a return trip. Thanks.
