the charley horse - munster in

This place has been closed since the fall. I dont know what happened.The really cool thing this place had was a bar with a frosted area where you cold put your bottle/drink to keep it cold.Your drink got colder as you drank it! The last month or so there has been a Whiskey/bbq sign installed.Not opened yet.

I have not yet eaten at True BBQ and Whiskey but will do so soon and rate it here. Guess why Charley Horse closed. Rich the B----

This seemed to be more bar oriented with the restaurant as an after thought. The waitress looked uncomfortable in their skin tight uniforms and we as a group of women hardly got any attention from our waitress. The food was nothing special and the soup was barely warm. When we complained about the soup the waitress asked us if we wanted her to warm it up in the microwave. Its a shame because that area could really use a good restaurant, prime location by a hotel and across the street from the hospital. If you just want to go to the bar I would recommend it but not to eat.

Charley Horse is shutting down for good, it was in The Times newspaper a week or so ago. They hosted car shows in the summer and always looked busy when we drove past so it is a surprise. We are guessing the focus was on the bar and not the restaurant, and Munster is a family restaurant kind of town.
