It is certainly worth the effort to spend time in the Chapel of the Resurrection to witness the awesomeness that are the spectacular tall stained glass windows. Be sure to pick up the info brochure in the entry that explain each of the 30 stories represented in the windows from the Holy Bible. To best appreciate the effect of these wondrous windows, get there in the morning if at all possible to catch the sun shining directly through the windows, although it's still a worthwhile visit in the afternoon...just not as dramatic. This is the largest collegiate chapel in the United States, one foot larger in all dimensions that Rockefeller Chapel at the University of Chicago, which the architects measured to be sure they were creating a chapel that was larger. If you manage to be there when someone is practicing on the pipe organ, you'll have an even more special visit, as this is one of the great pipe organs in the nation.

We have visited the Chapel of the Resurrection a number of times. We have gone to the wonderful services with the students. There are beautiful stained glass windows; a relative on my mother's side of the family was one of the people who was on the team to make the stained glass windows and install them many years back.There is in the basement a nice display on the history of Chapel of the Resurrection.It is always a special place for us to visit.

This is a functioning Chapel on Valparaiso Campus, but other musical events are held inside. THe acoustics are lovely, the inside of the church and the stained glass are beautiful. Only real complaint is two fold - one - you are sitting on hard pews, and 2 - if you are handicapped, you must go across the street to the student center for a wheelchair or mobililty impaired bathroom, as bathrooms are in the basement down stairs.

Resurrection Chapel is on the campus of Valparaiso University. It is very inspiring to visit here. If you are in the area, you must visit. Now, as my mother always told me, when you visit a church that you have not been in before, you get to make a wish upon entering. Good luck, but just go to enjoy it.

Certainly one of the most beautiful churches in NW Indiana. Have been here for weddings, Christmas services, and concerts, A definite place to visit for anyone in the Valparaiso area, if just to witness the beautiful stained glass altar area.

I've been here for a concert with orchestra and chorus, a wedding, organ recital, small scale worship, and a high festival. Visually, the chapel is stunning. The organ is amazing. It's a great place to visit even if you are only there for the view. They are working on an addition and renovations so much care is put into their chapel.

Where are all the Valpo alums ready to say how great there chapel is. It is. Incredible front stained glass windows and fun to walk around and check out the 1950's lutheran inspired building techniques. Big compression and release when you enter and some incredible photo opportunites. Would love to be there when the place is full and their choir is singing.
