That is about all I have to say. Great coffee, great atmosphere. It is a good little local haunt that anyone can enjoy.

I go here regularly with friends. Eclectic crowd, good service. Prices similar to that coffee chain with the green logo.

Last year, the Black Dog Coffeehouse was purchased by a Mother/son/daughter-in-law team if I understood correctly. This new ownership obviously evaluated what was working with the coffee, the environment, and their service. Some really great things have come out of this assessment. The interior has changed quite a bit.. I always got the feeling when being there before that I was interrupting college students studying. Now, you get a true mix of the community. Moms meeting for a coffee break, home office folks having meetings, yes-- some college students still studying, friends catching up over a cup of coffee, etc. The coffee is great. I understand they are roasting their own. The "toast" is a featured favorite. They have a great selection of different types including Cinnamon Raisin, White Chocolate and Coconut, a cranberry walnut and, I think, a plain one. Kate, the DIL, is an absolute sweetheart and can usually be found in the cafe making toast and generally making everyone feel welcome to be there. Anyway-- such a neat place. A wonderful place to meet friends...even a larger group of friends since they have a room which can be reserved for meetings.

Black Dog is one of my local favorite coffee shops. They have non-dairy milk for my coffee drinks, which I need. We really love this place

The customer service is exceptional. They seem truly sincere and have the best attitudes! I hate going into places and you get the lack luster enthusiasm, dreaded somewhat smile while they prepare your drink. They have a great variety of flavor combinations and always fun to see what they suggest and try.

A very unique coffee experience in Johnson County. It reminds me of midtown or Westport as far as its creative menu and friendly staff. Great options!

The best coffee I have found in the area so far. Better than Starbucks. The chocolate chunk cookie I had was fresh and tasty.

Located in suburban Lenexa, the Black Dog is an oasis. It serves wonderful coffee in a relaxed, laid-back environment. Their coffee is crafted by baristas with character and personality. The coffeehouse also offers wonderful desserts and pastries to accompany. My favorite is the brownie, lots of chocolate and ample portion. For those who want sandwiches, the Black Dog has several items made to your order. The menu also includes cold drinks and juices. There is free Wi-Fi, and the coffehouse has comfortable tables to spread out your work or to sit down with friends. Definitely it is a favorite and an excellent change from the cookie-cutter Starbucks.

The coffee is very good and it's a very roomy place, unlike some other nearby places that are smaller and cramped. Great place to unwind with a friend or two. The outside patio is very nice, and they are very accomodating. The first owners were the very best, but the current owner has made some good changes.

Black Dog is within walking distance from my work, so I frequent it every week. Their drip coffee comes from PT's roastarie in Topeka, KS, which is an award-winning product. A buck for your morning coffee before 10 a.m.! In the summer, their iced and blended coffees will put Starbucks to shame. Great, friendly staff who know you by name and know their coffee beans by heart. Locally owned and operated. This place is my favorite coffeehouse ever.

Black Dog Coffeehouse is a hidden secret in the middle of ugly concrete. Inside, you forget that you are in suburbia. Great coffee drinks, beautiful decor, a large selection of desserts, cookies, and pastries, sandwiches and more. The live music on weekends is a great way to do something without breaking the bank and the major perk is the outdoor patio and free wi-fi!You haven't been to Kansas City until you've been to Black Dog!It's located on the corner of 87th Street & Rosehill in Lenexa, KS
