trading post museum

There's a museum building, an old furnished schoolhouse, and an old furnished home.Lots of interesting displays in the museum. The friendly couple that were caretaking told us lots of interesting local history. They have displays from a local massacre too. They showed us through each building. There's a tree from MT. VERNON that was a gift from the DAR, along with a plaque that tells about it. This property sits next to the Trading Post Cemetery.The Trading Post is down a short road behind a new Kansas Rest Stop on scenic KS HWY 52.Very glad we visited.
