This place was so cool! The wine selection was outstanding and the personnel were very polite and knowledgeable. The cork table and benches were really cute. Prices were very reasonable. Look forward to coming back again in warmer weather

This amazing winery has produced some world class wine. The tasting room is very warm and inviting and be sure to go on a tour if available (be kind and tip the tour guide). When belling up to the 'bar' to enjoy some wine tasting have patience if visiting during the summer months, if visiting in the winter months you will get a wonderful one on one experience to taste and engage the wine expert. Be sure to look on the back of the tasting pamphlet for the exclusive tasting experience, its worth the small fee. Side note: If making the trip to Von Stiehl Winery we recommend staying at Hotel Stebbins, which is a block away and enjoy lunch at The Stadium, again a block away, more like several steps away :))

Great samples, warm, friendly staff. We bought cheese and they offered to cut it up for us to have with our free wine samples. Delcious wines!!

This is our favorite Wisconsin winery. It's about 45 minutes from Door County, and since we usually bring 3-4 cases of wine home from there, we go there on our way home. The employees there are so friendly even when we order online. They have grown over the years and have a lot of special events! EXCELLENT WINE!!!!!

This is a great winery with great sampling! Lots of fun to do with adult children and fun to try the different wines. They also have certain packages you can buy like a wine & cheese sampling and chocolate & wine sampling. Would be really fun for a girls night out!

Best part of the wine visit was the ability to taste any wine in the place...of course we succumbed to buying a few bottles. Oh, did I mention great prices, too.

We missed this one the last 2 years in a row coming to Door County wineries, and it was definitely one of the best. Make sure you stop here on your wine trail!

We were in Door County for a romantic getaway and advised to make a trip to Algoma. We found this wonderful place. Free wine samples, which was a shock as all the others charge. Great atmosphere and courteous service staff. Great and unique shopping and excellent value. Will return again.

We visited several wineries from Kewaunee to Door County during this trip, and this one was the most interesting. The tour was informative, with a lot of history and a good stretch of the legs as we meandered down the street to one of their other buildings where their steel wine tanks and bottling is located. It was well worth the time. The wine is delicious, they have a cute gift area, a nice outdoor patio area where they often have live music, and we also enjoyed the tasting selections - I had the wine and cheesecake option, and my husband had the wine and cheese. This was a cost for these selections, and were separate from their standard wine tasting experience. We purchased some great selections, and were also pleased that we can find these wines in our home town. We will be returning to,their wine festival in the fall and cannot wait!

Was nice to taste the different wines before purchasing them. Especially the oak barrel compared to the other. What a difference. Made the purchase much easier.

On our way south through Door County, we decided to take a side trip to Von Stiehl Winery. We were so happy we did! The staff was very knowledgeable and quite accommodating. Took the tour of the winery and thoroughly enjoyed it. Loved the funny trolls! Since we are planning another trip to Door Co. next year, we will include Von Stiehl Winery in our itinerary. We would highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys a good wine!

Our hostess from our B&B suggested we stop at this winery and we were glad we did. The winery is warm and inviting. The sales people are helpful and not pushy. The wine tasting is $5 for 5 samples per person. We tasted some great wines and ended up buying 4 bottles. Want a great dessert wine....try the Apple Icing. They also have great red wines and reislings. A good place to stop.

As we visit Door County frequently, we get to stop at the Von Stiehl Winery several times a year. There is a great variety in wines available. There is the opportunity to taste most of them. Used to be you could walk around and decant your own samples. Now days there is someone there to serve you samples. The last time we were there the bartender was focused on two women there, my wife and I could not get his attention (in his defense, they were cute). Try the dry Door County cherry wine. I find most of their wines pretty sweet; but there is something for everyones' taste. Our dearest friends come up from Arkansas on rare occasion; and they always want to go to Von Stiehl's. It is definitely worth a visit.

When visiting Door County, travelling a bit out of the way to Algoma is a must for wine enthusiasts. Von Stiehl Winery is the oldest winery in the state with a wonderful selection of great wines. Whether your preference is sweet or dry, white, red, or blush, these will soon be your favorites. My friends and I have been frequent customers and members of their case club for many years. Each visit is like visiting old friends and they always have something new to see or try. If you miss Von Steihl, you're missing a wonderful experience.

We made it a point to drive a little out of our way to visit this winery on our way to Door County. Their Naughty Girl wine is one of my favorites. Walking into the winery, as a first time visitor, was delightful...a homey feeling & very welcoming. Several tasting options were available....taste pairings, premium wines for a small fee, or the free tastings. I chose the free tastings so I could experience the whites I came here to try. I walked put with four bottles of wine which included 2 bottles of Oktoberfest( big seller), Pink Stiletto (smoothly delightful), an oaked raspberry fortified dessert wine whose names escapes me at the moment ( a surprise choice I enjoyed). I will be back to visit again.
