Kosir's is such a great place! By FAR the best one for rafting and camping. Such great prices for a TON of fun!

We visited the Kosir's Rapid Rafts at Niagara,WI on Labor Day weekend 2014. We decided to go to Menominee River at Niagara, WI as the water level is high there. The office of Kosir's Raft was in a Barn and the staff was good. I must say our guide was experienced and gave us tips and tricks to make the rafting better. Before going into the stream we enjoyed the beauty aroung and we took dive into the water and it was still there. I liked this part of river. We park one raft before we entered the fun part of river. first we did class II rapids and then come the class IV rapid. It was great. We come back to our earlier raft by trail and did the rafting again. We again enjoyed jumping into the river and swimming around in last phase of the trip.

We took the Menominee river rapid trip and had a blast. The staff informed us well made us all feel safe and comfortable with the short trip. After floating down an easy stretch of river we did a short class 3 then floated to beach where we looked at the class 4 then go in the raft with our guide and about 8 others to make the trip through the short class 4. Although it was short it was quite fun wi a good 6-8 foot drop. Then we hiked back to our towed raft and did it again with everyone in the boat in different positions. We did one more quick class 3 and then back the rafting was about hour and a half to 2 hours. Ultimately a wonderful experience for rafting here in the midwest with cordial guides.

The trip was short but fun. I loved the fact that we had an oppurtunity to shoot the class four rapid twice!

We just got back from a great weekend trip rafting, camping and cabining at Kosir's and could not be more happy. Some of us stayed in the on site cabins. Do this if you can. They are basic but neat and clean. Two bedrooms, one full bed and one full bunk-beds. They also had roll away beds, so using couches, you could actually sleep 10 in a cabin. It would be crowded but do-able. They have full kitchens and a bathroom with shower and a nice screened in porch. You need to bring towels and a top sheet for the beds. Very comfortable. the best part is the cabins have a great spot, right next to the river, with picnic tables and fire rings. You can order wood and they bring it right to you.The camping sites are well kept and pretty large. Many offer a nice degree of privacy. There are convenient restrooms and showers. The rafting is very good for the Midwest. We have been on multiple-day trips out west and the Menominee is a legit class IV but only for a short stretch. The beauty is they bring along two rafts and after running it once you get to do it again! Sheer brilliance. We had a group of 15 that day and several people were WAY out of their comfort zone. The guides were great, very safety conscious and reassuring for those that needed it. I would never have guessed that everyone would do the run twice but we did.We did the Peshtigo the second day with a larger group. This was more low key but still a great ride. The guides (Dale is awesome) did a great job making sure everyone was safe. After that, we tubed from the resort for about 45 minutes down to the lake boat ramp. They pick you up there and bring you back to the resort. The on-site bar and restaurant are great. I had the walleye and it was excellent. Everyone else seemed to like their meals. The best part of all is how friendly and helpful everyone is. Kosir's is truly a class act. We had over 25 in our group and will be back next year with more. Thanks Kosir's, Keep up the good work!

Let me start by saying this was my first white water rafting experience. I got together a group of 10 people and stayed in cabin 3. It was cute and cozy with lots of sleeping accommodations. We got in late Friday evening, checked in and enjoyed the night. Went rafting on the late trip (3p) Saturday, we did have to wait 30-45 min for everyone to get life jackets, helmets, take the bus to the drop zone, and hear instructions. Chicago was the main guide, he was funny and a lot of fun. He clearly explained what to do WHEN YOU FALL OUT! The water was high and we encountered class 3/4 falls. Out of the 10 people in my group, 7 people fell out of their funyaks. It was scary at first but I remembered what I needed to do from the group training. Our group stayed another 2 nights and had a great time and tubed down a gentler area of the river for only $5 the next day. I highly recommend this trip and lodging as it was a fantastic experience!

I am a big fan of Kosirs going back at least 30 years. Had done the rafting several times and spent quite a few hours in the bar with friends and making new friends. I decided to stay overnight at the campground on my way back from a Lake Michigan circle tour on my motorcycle. The campground is very nice with a clean layout and roomy sites. My problem only has to do with the 11pm quiet time and its lack of enforcement. There was a small group in my area that drove back in about 10pm, were loud and drunk till midnight then noisily went down to the bar till it closed, then back for more beers at their site, then noisily gathered up their cooler and partied down at the river till 3 or 4am, then back. They were up at 7am loudly again and off in their cars. Now don't tell me I should have told them to be quiet- as you know, nothing good happens after midnight and you will never convince a drunk person to bend to your requests especially after midnight! My suggestions are that if you are looking for a good nights rest you may be taking a chance here as I didn't get the impression that any quiet time was expected or enforced. If you are younger than I(need less sleep) and want to stay at a lovely campground at a first rate rafting company and wonderful bar and grill then this is a beautiful place!

First time rafting and our guide, Frank, made it so much fun. The rapids were scary but he got us through them. Just wished they were a little longer.

We have gone to Kosir's many times, and have never been disappointed. For rafting on the Peshtigo, we have had different experiences each time, with the ever changing river levels. Every time had been a fun adventure, & the guides really reassure you that you will be fine, even if it's your first time rafting. The camp grounds are kept pretty clean, there are clean showers & bathrooms, outhouses farther into the camp grounds, nice fire pits, and a bar on site! They rent out cabins, but we have only camped there. We make an annual trip there every year, wouldn't miss it at all!

4 of us just had a trip of a lifetime yesterday at Kosir's Rafting on the Menominee River in Niagra, WI. Used a Groupon coupon to try this activity and will definitely be back with a larger crowd! The staff was laid back yet serious about the complexity and dangers of such a large volume river. After posting photos of the trip (CD available of our group after our adventure) on facebook, my comments have been flooded. We only live 2 hours away and I think many of us were surprised at the spectacular sites that are so close to home.

Nothing to dislike about this place! We have been there now more than 5 times, and have never been disappointed! The staff is always aiming to please, from the front check in, to the late night staff that has to make sure we're all quiet past 11pm, and for the hours some of them work (Paula!) they still have a smile on their faces! The campground is always groomed nice, it's not heavily wooded, but enough trees to give you privacy from the other campsites and some shade. The bathrooms are a short walk from wherever you're campsite is, and clean showers. The rafting, no matter when you go, the guides are awesome! They go thru a complete run through of what you need to do in just about any situation when you're on the river, there are plenty of them that go on the river so you shouldn't feel apprehensive about rafting! Even when I have felt nervous, I am reassured someone's "got my back"! They have someone taking pictures on shore at the first drop, and you can purchase your pictures when you return back."Chicago" I think is the main guide that does the orientation and knows the river, and you can totally trust him! We have only done the Peshtigo river run, we have had different water levels each time, so we have done the single "funyaks", a two person raft and we did a large group (8 per raft), and each and everytime, the river has been awesome!Every time we're done, we all say "can't wait until next year"! It's usually a group of twelve or more that make the annual trip to Kosirs!
