molly's rude awakening

Just happened to make a rest stop in Black River Falls, WI, and found this awesome looking coffee shop! The ice coffee tasted great and very reasonably priced. Enjoyed looking at the pottery for sale and other cool items. It was a great find that we happened to stumble upon. Make sure to sign the guestbook if you stop in.

The food places sign near the exit caught my eye. Thought I'd give it try. Not hard to find, but a tasteless grind in my overwatered Americano. Next time I'll ask for a double. Clean, interesting for the area, friendly. Better than BP swill and worth my 3 bucks.

We travel to Black River Falls to stay at a local cabin to fish and relax. We never miss a visit on our way to the cabin to this unique coffee shop. The lady there is always nice, they have good bakery goods, and the Chai latte is the best. We also stop here because it is half the way to Chicago and it is nice relaxing point to have a quick caffeine pickup. There is a fun little gift shop on the side with random homemade products. It is a fund little joint and a nice quick stop between several well traveled place.

Great lil place for yummy tasty coffee, there's different kinds that will suit everyone's taste buds! Love it! Defiantly recommend this place!

Black River Falls is a location where one often needs a good cup of coffee between Madison, Wisconsin and Minneapolis. It is at the second BRF exit when coming on Interstate 94 from Madison or the first one when coming from Minneapolis. The selection of choices is two pages long. I recommend going inside to experience the great atmosphere and friendly service. Ignore the ugly steel exterior of the building--it hides a true gem in a location where finding good coffee is difficult. I had what some places call a "depth charge," but they just call it strong coffee. A 12 ounce cup was $2. It was the strong, but smooth coffee that I needed midway through my journey. It is easy to miss it. You will see the Sunrise Cafe first. I think it is the first street to the right and then an immediate turn right.

Greeted warmly, excellent coffee choices, good food, cute shop, fun music playing, clean environment, cozy to sit and chillaxe awhile too!

Right off the highway in Black River-easy on/off, convenient drive-thru and best yet, when I am visiting my Mom in town, really great coffee and a comfortable, quirky place to hang out and catch up with friends online. (Because yes, Mom has no internet access...) Nice people, too.
