Our goals were to see the sea caves and be able to get some good photos in the process. Mike was the perfect host in making sure we realized our goals. His small boat was just right for us and one other couple, and he could maneuver it close enough to allow us some dramatic shots. We even got a shot of a cedar waxwing inside one of the caves. (see photos) Mike is very personable and also very knowledgeable about the area. A really memorable experience.

Just 30 minutes from Bayfield along scenic Route 13 is the charming artist colony of Cornucopia. Now there's a special reason to go: for the very best way to see the Apostle Island NP sea caves along the Bayfield peninsula. Good Earth Outfitters operate small (six passenger) boat tours that take you right into the sea caves. My sister and I had taken the big cruise out of Bayfield around the Apostle Islands, but, other than by kayak, this is the only way to explore these beautiful caves up close and inside. Captain Mike gave us a great tour and was very accommodating; he worked with us to sus out the best weather and calmest water. Lots of photo ops of these amazing caves. Nice gift shop, too. An absolute must-do whenever you visit Bayfield!!

Make sure you take Mike's 75 minute boat tour. It is a great value. He does a spectacular job piloting the boat to see this beautiful shoreline. This is not to be missed. Thanks, Mike, for our Sunday voyage.

What a great time! Captain Mike provided a lot of knowledge and background, all the while giving us the best views of the gorgeous and breathtaking caves in the Apostle Islands. One of the couples on our boat had taken a previous cruise and said they were sorry they had wasted their time; they were so glad they found Good Earth and took this boat ride. The boat is big enough for everyone to be comfortable, but small enough for Captain Mike to maneuver us in backwards and provide us with some fabulous photo opportunities. Plus he's ready and willing to take your picture with your camera with those amazing caves in the background. All in all, start to finish, a great experience. And don't miss their well-stocked gift shop. Lorraine will help you with anything you need.

We did a guided kayak tour , half day to the sea caves which are the ice caves in winter. Now we will have to come back when the water turns hard in winter. Our 2 guides were very competent and provided very interesting commentary on the caves, lake, and geology of the area. Was much better than I anticipated it would be.

Wonderful tour of the sea caves that I would highly recommend. Captain Mike was very knowledgeable and a pleasure to visit with. The smaller sized boat gave us the opportunity to get up close to view the formations and capture some great pictures.

I've been going up to Northern Wisconsin and the Apostle Islands for summer vacations my whole life and thought I had seen most of what there was to see. I can’t begin to describe how mesmerized I was by the sheer beauty of what we were in store for. It started to drizzle just before departure and I wondered if it was going to be worth going out to see the shore formations and caves. With a quick glance at his instrument panel and in-depth knowledge of the weather patterns of the area, Captain Mike assured us we would be in good shape to see the views. He was dead on as we split 2 separate weather flair-ups and ended up in the sun! The trip on his beautiful new 25 foot Parker with twin 200 hp Yamaha’s was quick and very smooth, which maximized the time we could view the incredible sights. He expertly guided his boat down the shore and even got us up close in certain areas in order to truly take in the magnitude of the shore’s magnificence. Well worth the price of the trip. Highly recommend Good Earth Outfitters, Captain Mike and his wife Lorraine who runs their exceptional store right at the dock!

Stopped in Cornucopia looking for an afternoon adventure. Walked into a very cute gift shop offering affordable sea caves tours by boat. Turned out to be the perfect way to end our extended weekend. Would definitely recommend this outfitter. They also offer other Apostle Island tours that we hope to try during our next south shore visit.

The Sea Caves are a most impressive geological formation along Lake Superior and excellent adventure! Good Earth Outfitters aims to please with excellent customer service, and we found Good Earth to be a great choice for seeing the Sea Caves. Last winter the Sea Caves were in the news a great deal with their unique cold, icy amazing cave structures. We heard so much about it, had to see them this summer season in a whole new way. Good Earth is located in small-town Cornucopia, in northern Wisc. on Lake Superior, about one hour south of Duluth. You'll find Good Earth right along with other fun dock shops. Come on down and reserve a spot on the tour ahead of time (we reserved one day ahead) with Lorraine, then hop on a fabulous boat tour with Captain Mike. And he was awesome. Mike has a brand new closed-hull boat which had outdoor seating and also offered protection from the wind, etc., (NICEl!) -- then sit back and enjoy your adventure about 12 miles to the Sea Caves. Mike is able to zigzag in and out so you can get really close to see a plethora of formations, along the shoreline of this amazing site! The Sea Cave Tour is not to be missed: The formations are excellent to see ... the ride on Lake Superior was SOOO relaxing ... can't beat it. The boat ride lasted about 1 1/2 hours and cost about $45, which we thought was quite reasonable. We were able to see so many more Sea Caves than we would have on a kayak trip, and it was much safer too. Fortunately, other Trip Advisor reviews helped us narrow our Sea Cave trip down to Good Earth! Best day on the Lake and a highlight of our Lake Superior trip -- highly recommended!

Definitely take the time to drive to Cornucopia to tour with Mike and Lorraine! You get up close to, and inside, the sea caves for most of your tour time. You will get much closer to the sea caves on this tour than the larger boats out of Bayfield and your photos will be fantastic! Mike and Lorraine went out of their way to give us a great experience. Thanks guys!!Wendy and family
