bruemmer park and zoo

The Bruemmer Park Zoo provides families (especially with small children) with an opportunity to stretch their legs and take a peek at the animals which include a heard of deer, various birds, goats, rabbits, bob cats, raccoons and foxes. There is no charge for viewing the animals at the present time. However, plans are to renovate the zoo (it's badly needed) and bring in additional animals. When those plans are completed, there will be an admission fee which is too bad because I think it will prevent people from just dropping in, spur of the moment. Besides for the animals, Bruemmer Park also offers playground equipment, shelters, bathrooms and a water fountain. Visitors will find a memorial garden with a wide variety of plants just to the northeast of the zoo.
