It has several TVs and is a nice place for watching Badger football or basketball. Nice on tap beer selection and some good burgers and sides.

I've been coming here for years with the crew from my restaurant and we've always felt welcome here. A wonderful place to meet up at! The food has even gotten better with their new chef creating new entrees all of the time. The staff is always friendly with the guests and the owner (if you get a chance to meet him) is amazing. There are so many jack**s owners and he isn't one of them.

I've stopped in at the Mid Town Pub many times and have never been disappointed. It has a pleasant hometown feel that always provides excellent food and service. It's also really nice when the actual owner stops to ask you're doing. The blackened fish tacos are great, as is everything else I've tried. Highly recommended!

A friend & I wanted to try somewhere new for dinner on a Friday night so because of the reviews here we decided to give this place a try. We arrived at 5:45pm and they had plenty of open tables. The hostess was perfect. She smiled, opened the door for us, gave us a friendly greeting & seated us immediately. Our waiter was young and unfortunately not very good; I give the service from him 2 stars. But it appeared other wait staff were more competent. It took way too long to get our glasses of wine; the explanation finally given was they could not find the wine my friend had ordered off their wine list. She eventually had to choose a substitute but being informed of that sooner would have been nice. The wines we did eventually get were ok.The free popcorn provided on the table tasted stale like it had been sitting out all day. I ordered the Friday special of coconut shrimp for $13; it came with a side salad and potato chips. The side salad was excellent made with mixed greens and plenty of tasty toppings. But that was the highlight of the meal. The coconut shrimp did not look or taste like they had any coconut, just breading. But they were good size and the dipping sauce provided was good. The potato chips were ok; like “kettle cooked” store bought ones. My friend ordered the regular breaded shrimp basket and said it was ok. Our meal with our 2 glasses of wine and tip came to $43. For the quality of food, service and price you can find better in the Middleton/West Madison area, e.g., Hubbard Ave Diner or Vin Santo. I most likely will not be back.

This place always seems to be hopping, day or night. They have a huge variety of food, and every time I've been there, I've had a good meal. Salads, burgers, etc. Very casual, fun place. Has an outdoor seating area, too.
