Beautiful fields and prairie just outside of the Madison city limits. A free place to get a long walk in or just relax and enjoy a fall day. If you go at the end of August there is a huge field planted with sunflowers that is well worth seeing.

This former farmland was donated to the town of Middleton to preserve the farm and prairie from encroaching development. Set on a hilltop, the site commands 360 degree views and has historical significance to the area's native American heritage. A great place for a walk or picnic, you can learn a lot about history, ecology and the importance of open space from a visit here.
