I would say this is an adult campground if your kids are not easily entertained at your campsite. There is a beach at the bar but you must buy the food and drinks from them. My kids are older so it was great for us.Campground - small, difficult to get hold of anyone for questions, but they have an online reservation system that is easy to use. Campsite decent sizeThey have excellent weekly rates, so we enjoyed 2 long weekends and left our camper there in between. We will do it again! If you don't have a self contained bathroom there is bathrooms but always carry your own TP, the guys said there never is any down there! And although they are older they are not dirty, our guests used toilets and shower and it was all OK.WIFI - not good, if you really need WIFI bring a hotspot. On any day there were people around there was no service, it is free but not useful if doesn't work most of time.Bar/restaurant - we LOVED it and will go back. Perfect lake view, they had decent music afternoon and evenings, service is really good and prices are OK. I recommend the yummy Italian beef on garlic bread, so good.Boating - we had a boat and Jake the owner is very fair, the water was high so piers were not nice but he gave us one anyway. The lake is perfect for riding around, tubing or just boating.

We booked four nights camping at Lakeview starting on Wednesday, April 16, 2014. Of course Lakeview had no control over the weather, but it was cold at night! When we arrived we were informed there was no water at the sites due to cold nights and the chance of freezing pipes. They let us fill our water tank from their spigot and directed us to a pull through site. I had requested 50 amp service and this site didn't have it. We walked the entire campground and this appeared to be the only pull through that was available and the only site with 30 amp! There were a lot of permanent year round campers at the campground and they took up a majority of sites. We decided to stay in the site because it was close to the bar/restaurant and bath house. Friday night we discovered being too close to the bar was a mistake - it was noisy late into the night. They do a good business, and the bar is very nice and we found the food to be delicious (we ate one meal there). There is an excellent view of the lake from the bar and they have a great set up for outside seating, weather permitting, and a nice beach there too. Fortunately the nights warmed up enough for them to turn the water on to the campsite on Thursday. We were not offered a discount for the one night we didn't have water, and there also wasn't any off season rates. We paid the same rate for 30-amp as we would have for 50-amp. We most likely will not stay with them again, but would visit for dinner!
