The buildings (Gothic style) are unique and beautiful inside and out. Saint John's Chapel is a perfect setting for a wedding. My granddaughter got married at The DeKoven Center last week...Memorable! The chapel and the sleeping rooms aren't air-conditioned so that is un-appealing but the setting is so awesome...the lack of AC can be over-looked.

Our family was at a wedding at the DeKoven Center. It was a beautiful place with great atmosphere. The view of Lake Michigan was breathtaking.

It was surprising to find such a great old building in this area. I knew that there was a lot of history in Racine but not like this.

The DeKoven Center is quite historic. There are several beautiful buildings left of what was once a college. A beautiful locale for a walk, enjoying the buildings when they are open, the gardens and the view of Lake Michigan, across the street. The Center is only a short way south of downtown Racine.

We had our Christmas party and the meal was amazing...We had cornish hen,with the side and a wonderful dessert. we have also had a breakfast there for a group. Great and very reasonable

The DeKoven Center has unlimited charms. Fascinating historic buildings, an English Style Chapel, magnificent gardens and views of Lake Michigan, a retreat center and arts studios. The DeKoven Center has had many incarnations but it is unique and worth a visit for inspiration, a Sunday or Tuesday noon service, a class or retreat or just a chance to wander and soak up the beautiful environment.

Attended a wedding here last week and it was just beautiful. The Location couldn't get any better, right next to the lake, beautiful sceary and grounds. The Chapel was beautiful, only complaint was " no air conditioning" and it had to be the hottest day, Thank goodness the ceremony was short but some fans would have been helpful. The hall were the reception was held was beautiful and spacious with a huge dance floor. The service, food and staff were excellent. Definately consider having a wedding there.

Lovely well kept campus on the lake. Built before the Civil War as a boys military school-was later a convent and is now a retreat center and a lovely place for weddings. Gorgeous gardens, very peaceful and has an almost "other worldly" feeling.
