eric's canoe rental

Very late writing this review because I could not think of the name. I happened to be looking back at some pictures and realized that I had taken a picture of the map with Eric's name & phone number on it. My husband wanted to surprise me with some great alone time while visiting his relatives in Minnesota. I didn't know what we were doing until we pulled up to the canoe rental shop. Eric was so friendly and helpful. I was a bit nervous when I realized how far we would go, considering I had never gone canoeing prior. Eric took us down to the river, helped my husband get the canoe in the water, gave us a map, told us about landmarks and sent us on our way. I thought we needed more instruction but we were golden with what he gave us. He knows his stuff and was at our destination when we arrived. The afternoon was perfect. It was bright and sunny, but not too hot. It was an absolutely awesome time on the St Croix river. It was so green and so peaceful. We passed by a fully loaded Taylor Falls Princess while out on the water, but saw very few other people. We saw an eagle swoop down from a tree top beside the river and glide just above the surface of the water for a time before soaring off. It was beautiful!

I highly recommend renting a canoe from Eric and paddling down the St. Croix. my husband, son and I rented a canoe and a kayak and paddled down on a beautiful 70 degree autumn day. what a great experience, so glad we chose to rent from Eric!
