We stopped by to do some snowshoeing on a below-zero February day. Needless to say, we had the place to ourselves. We enjoyed hiking some of the trails, there are nice interpretive exhibits, nicely done with covers to protect them from the elements, and it was very interesting to see the trees the beaver had chewed, I never knew they'd chew trees as big as they did here, and I also learned that you can make syrup from birch sap. I bet this place is gorgeous in the fall, and it would be fun to come when the buildings are open, or even to stay in one of the cabins.

Truly enjoy the cakes at the lakes experience. The lectures are always informative and educational. A fun thing to do on a rainy Saturday morning. Enjoy watching those who seem to know everyone!

Was there August of 2013. Hide a great hike on the trails. It was a pretty buggy when we were there, but a good dose of bug spray helped a lot. Not a lot of wildlife that we saw, but did see the eagle nest and saw a deer while we were on the trail. Had nice talk with the director of the facility.

Hunt Hill Audubon Sanctuary offers nature at its finest. The Sanctuary has several different trails to choose for your walk. They varied from .5 mile to several miles. Scenery includes flower meadows, woods, river. All is beautiful. The Sanctuary also offers classes and lodging but we did not take advantage of any of those things.
