To get through all the rooms of exhibits and listen to the complete presentation would probably require at least a five hour investment. You can "skim' though, and it is a very impressive display of exhibits and artifacts. The volunteers really know the history. It's very cool.

bigger than I expected, tons of items to look at great piece of history, would be better if it was still in operation. plenty to give you a couple hours to look around a great way to spend the day

If you are a train buff, you could spend an awful long time sifting through all of the memorabilia and history here. Nice museum with something for everyone. Not a destination per se, but if you are in the spooner area, it is one of the better attractions.

Fred and Bob gave us a great tour and filled us in on the history of the railroad in Spooner, Wisconsin. Both gentlemen were very knowledgeable and thorough with the history and showing of their fine memorabilia collection. No pictures allowed, but a lot of cool stuff to see. Allow yourself a couple hours or more to see it all.

I grew up in Spooner and now help out at the Museum since I moved back home. Wonderful to see all that has been saved and preserved of the Railroad history in Spooner.
