This lovely home, full of fabulous woodwork, contains some unusual exhibits about the area. Would probably be most interesting to residents of Wisconsin but is so well done and thorough I would recommend it to anyone. Quality place to check out in Wausau.

For most Wisconsinites there is no connection with the civil war in their families. This is because most are of ancestors here immigrated to America after the civil war. But here you can see artifacts that take you back to that part of our history. One particular display shows all the items a foot solder would carry. Look at that and then imagine walking to the front lines in the southern states when there still was not even a road to Travel. I have had the privilege of travel and recently was in Vicksburg MS where there are monuments to Wisconsin Civil war servicemen.
