I love going to the Zoo. Every time I go there is always something different going on. I love watching the animals doing their thing. Can't wait to have my son grow up and really get excited to watch the animals. The zoo has plenty of parking and tons of places to stop and get a bite to eat. The zoo offers plenty of extras, like zoo Ala Crate, sleepovers, trick or treating and many nights of music at the Zoo. The zoo pass with parking is a definite must. Well worth it!

I was visiting from the northeast and was delighted to be able to take a break from the crazy weather. This past Sunday it appears lots of people had the same idea as a couple of the parking lots were fairly full. As soon as you get into the zoo (past the shops and restaurants), you are greeted by the delightful penguins!!!! As you walk around the exhibits, peacocks are walking by very casually!! The only comment I would make is that I went around 2pm and several of the animals (primates, big cats) were taking a nap.

Enjoyed our time walking around the zoo, a favorite was the bonobo exhibit. It was very difficult to see the elephants, rhinos, etc, because the windows to those exhibits were so dirty. All food areas were closed this time of year. The animal descriptions were educational. Saw some very neat animals I had not seen before. Worth a visit, for sure!

As zoos go, this one was landscaped well and it had nice exhibits. Don't expect the fanciness of San Diego zoo, but it is surely an uptick from the nice experience of going to Chicago's Lincoln Park Zoo. I think it is certainly better than the big zoo in the Chicago suburbs.

The Milwaukee County zoo is a year round staple for my 5 year old daughter and me. We frequently make this a day outing with other friends or family. It is great that you can return to your car as needed, so you can bring your own picnic lunch and save some money. Also, they have a REALLY fun playground - one for smaller kids (0-5) and one for bigger kids (5-12). We've frequently gotten to see some really cool things - like an unscheduled Sea Lion Show for around $5 where we even got to feed the Sea Lion! We've also watched professionals work with Orangutans using a tablet to teach and reward the animal, and there are always volunteers on hand to answer questions in great detail. Buying a zoo membership pays for itself in 2 or 3 visits. This makes it a very affordable outing any time we're looking for some fun. My daughter's favorite part is the really cool "big cat house" where you can really get an up close look at tigers and lions.

I have to preface this review with saying that I grew up in San Diego and went to that world famous zoo dozens of times before ever going to another zoo. That set the bar pretty high and no other zoo I have visited has even compared. However, the Milwaukee Zoo has something that the San Diego zoo does not, a dairy area and cows. I found this very interesting. I also love the frozen custard made fresh onsite; so delicious! Overall, the Milwaukee zoo is always an enjoyable experience and consistent. I have been to a few events in the Peck Pavilion onsite, and I always think that is a super cool venue. I like to make it a point to go to the zoo at least once a year, but I would never turn down an invitation to go to the Milwaukee zoo because I had already been that year. It's well maintained and it's always an enjoyable time.

Animal exhibits focus on their natural habitats. A lot of unique exhibits are brought in, along with special events. A CLASSIC Milwaukee experience, enjoyable for all ages.

Want to spend a great day with the family? Come here, a whole day of seeing animals, great food. Lots of walking to do, but its well worth it. Kids will love it, you can mold an animal and watch it being made. Petting zoo for the kids also. A must stop place if your in Milwaukee

One of the few zoos we have been to that still charges for parking, and charges quite a bit at that. Can be OK for people who live in the county who can get a discounted day, but outside the county, if you've seen it all once, it's too costly.

This is another attraction we miss since moving away. We used to live less than ten minutes from the zoo and would go year-round. There is so much to see, and so many more animals that many other zoos-even bigger zoos, so you are not walking forever in between animals. It's a great way to spend a day, or come frequently and see a little bit at a time. And don't forget the special night-time dates-those are always fun!

I enjoy taking my family to zoo's as we travel. The Milwaukee Zoo is one of the best mid sized zoo's that we have seen. Although Sampson, the massive Silver Back Gorilla dies years ago, there is still plenty to see to create a highly enjoyable day of memories. There is a train that will haul you around the park as well as plenty of seating areas to rest. A very good variety of animals as well as special exibits that pass through the zoo keep it from getting "old". Highly recommended for any age or family size. It is sometimes cheaper to buy a family pass-- even if you will only go one time, depending on your family size... just saying!

If your a Milwaukee resident you can get a discount on tickets. Parking in their parking lot is expense, we go across the street. You not suppose to but . . . Cross the street and just pay to get into the zoo at the side window. Iv'e found the side attractions at the zoo just aren't worth the money, but you have to ride the train. You can also bring your own food and water into the Zoo, but if your an ice cream lover stop at the dairy for some. It's by the kids petting Zoo.

This is an outstanding zoo worth a visit when visiting Milwaukee. Wide cross-section of animals presented in pleasant surroundings. Especially check out the big cats. Extra attractions for the kids include a petting zoo, train ride, merry-go-round.
