Talleyrand is a great place to take the family for some fresh air. The park has a Resident Duck Population that will almost run you over if you show up with a loaf of bread… which the kids love. There is also a large trout population in the creek that are easy to view and feed from the park…they will sometimes jump out of the water to get the bread before another fish can. There is a small playground for the kids and some historic railroad cars beside the train station. One of our favorite treats is to get sandwiches from the Subway in town and have an impromptu picnic under the trees during the summer concert series on Sunday Nights. Here is tip: Buy a couple loaves of bread before showing up at the park…there is no businesses within walking distance that sell loaves of bread at an affordable price.

I have been to Tallyrand park several times and always find what I need there...sometimes entertainment with a festival and live music, relaxation sitting near the waterfall listening to the ducks and water, exercise walking around the track. Nearby is a cafe to have coffee or ice cream. there is a playground with great climbing and activities for kids. Lots of benches to sit and watch teh world go by.

Fun for the kids to feed the fish and all the ducks just love to follow them around. Food is available to buy in a machine on the bridge to feed the fish. There is a play area for the children, swing set, slides, a train they can see. The visitors center is right there if you want information. There is a small lunch type restaurant that's pretty good right across the park. The park holds free music on Sundays in the park in the summer. They also have the arts fest now at the park. Lovely bridge to walk across, bathrooms, places to sit and shade trees. Beautiful area to take photos.

Tallyrand is quaint and beautiful. Located at the junction of the Big Spring and Spring Creek, there are two merging streams that create a "falls". There are ducks and palomino trout, and lots of places to picnic and enjoy the grounds. There are public bathrooms and a play area for kids.

Cute little park with everything from playground equipment to friendly ducks and hungry trout in the stream. This is a favorite stopping spot for my granddaughter! Great picture opportunities.

Tallyrand Park is relatively small, but lovely little park. It's absolutely beautiful. I enjoy walking or running around the little paths and seeing the beautiful trees, the water, the gazebo, and, of course, the ducks. I brought a friend of mine who was visiting from out of town who fell in love with the park and asked that we bring our picnic lunch one day. Great spot!

Loved the ducks! What a great and historic place for events, and so near the center of quaint Bellefonte. The new distillery adds so much to the grounds also.

I try to visit this park every time I'm in the area. I love watching the giant fish go after food pellets. Bring plenty of quarters to buy fish food! My kids love the playground and taking pictures by the fountain and the train car.

This is a gorgeous park and worth a visit if in the area. There are some large fish in the river waiting to be fed. Lots of ducks around too.

Tallyrand Park is a picture perfect image of what a small town park should be. A creek loaded with fish and ducks, a white band stand, bridges, and even a historic train station with train cars. This is a great place to sit and read, or just take in the sunshine on a Summer day. The only negative being they do not allow dogs. I would have liked to walk my leashed dog. Other than that, is a great place to visit if you are in downtown Bellefonte, PA.

Talleyrand Park is a nice place to relax, eat your lunch, or feed the ducks. Various organizations have events here throughout the year. Come see Bellefonte.

Also the home of an 1890's Victorian train station used as the town's visitor's center. The fish are awesome -- BIG trout. The creek traveling through the park is joined by the overflow from the same spring that Dasani bottled water comes from!

As a resident of Bellefonte, I enjoy visiting Tallyrand Park from time to time to walk around. It is fun to feed the ducks or listen to a concert over the summer. The water makes for a soothing view and there are playgrounds for children. It is not a huge park, but it is nice for a few hours out and about.

A surprising find. Also, for any person who enjoys fishing, you will be amazed to find an abundance of large albino and regular? trout.

Talleyrand Park is at the main intersection of Bellefonte along SR 150 and only minutes from State College and Milesburg. Most weddings and Proms end up here for pictures. The park is along the waterfront so with the dam, the walking bridges and flowers there are many picture opportunities. They stock large Rainbow trout every may and people come to feed them all year long. Most fish don't leave since they never have it so good. There are also lots of ducks but they are not overly aggressive like many other parks I have seen. Of course there is playground equipment there to play on. This is where the Bellefonte Historic Railroad boards. There are trains there to see. There is an ice cream place right across the street. Organizations do free community projects there regularly such as a large Easter Egg Hunt and Halloween events. Usually Sunday evening in the Summer is a Summer Concert Series at the Gazebo.
