This is the perfect general store. They carry everything from fishing gear, to bicycle needs, to greeting cards, jewelry, groceries, a deli for lunch, and gas pumps for the car--not to mention the souvenir postcards, T-shirts, and ball caps. The Pine Creek Rail Trail runs right behind the store and it's a convenient place to stop for a rest and recharge your energy whether by car, motorcycle, or bicycle.

Don't expect to find a public restroom anywhere around, but do expect the best homemade ice cream you've ever had. We ordered 2 large and one small for $6- yup, that's right! My Kahlua almond amaretto was rich, creamy and very flavorful. My daughter's coconut fudge almond was amazing. My son-in-law wouldn't share. Portions were large for the price, but I'm used to CT prices. The owners were very friendly as well. It is kind of out of the way, so use the bathroom before you head out.

All that's good about an old fashioned country general store. A soda fountain, nice selection of locally made touristy items.

Hand dipped ice cream cones and gourmet sandwiches. Closed on Monday and Tuesday though. It's not really a general store, mostly souvenirs and snacks for visitors traveling the Pine Creek Rail Trail or just passing thorough.

The Cedar Run General Store has been a regular stop for my family for generations. The store is small but has a variety of interesting gifts and souvenirs to purchase. They have a lunch counter where they serve awesome sandwiches and hand dipped ice cream. The store also has an outdoor eating area on the lawn with tables and umbrellas. My personal favorite place to eat is on the steps of the front porch. They also have checkers & games to play so you can just grab a table a relax.
