We visited Penn's Cave on one of our road trips. We've never done a cave/cavern tour before so we didn't know what to expect. Our tour guide was awesome he's very knowledgeable and was very entertaining, too bad we forgot his name. The scenery inside was incredible and they don't rush the tour at all so you get your money's worth and more! The boat also gives you a tour outside the cavern at the end before turning back around to the entrance. There we were able to see some of the animals which was very cool. The place can get very busy so we would suggest getting your tickets first before anything else. They also have a gift shop for souvenirs and a mini gemstone panning too which is great if you're waiting. Would also suggest to bring a light sweater even during the hot peak because it does get a bit chilly while doing the underground cavern tour. We would recommend a visit and for sure you'll have an excellent time like we did!

Super cool and educational experience! We went during their off season on the last tour of the day so it was just my husband and I and our two friends on the tour. Our tour guide was Dave, who provided a wealth of information (and puns), on our practically private tour of Penn's Cave.My recommendation would be to go during their off season (winter months) to try and get a small grouped tour. During the winter months they are only open on the weekends and on Sundays their last tour is at 4pm. All in all definitely worth the trip! We didn't get to see the wildlife portion of the park due to the season, but we will definitely be back for that experience.

My best friend and I did the boat ride cave tour. We've been on different cave and cavern tours before but this is the only all underwater one. Our tour guide was great and it was really cool to travel through it by boat. The cave opens up at the end into a lake. Definitely worth a visit!

I was a little apprehensive about going here. It's just so hard to imagine finding anything this nifty out in the middle of nowhere, PA. I've been to the greatest caves in NA- and this place surprised me... I had actually just been zip-lining on the largest line in NA the day prior- and the sensory experience at this place was right up there with the zipping! It's certainly worth the time and the cost is absolutely reasonable.

This boat ride through Penns Cave was quite interesting. Lots of history about the original trips when you visited in a row boat. About one hour and held everyone's interest. Fun little adventure if you are in the area. Didn't have time for the animal park this trip.

Aubrey is a fantastic wildlife guide, extremely knowledgable about the animals, environment, and the park itself. My family and I had heard about the park and had wanted to go for a while, the experience definitely lived up to the hype! I highly recommend visiting and taking the wildlife tour and the cave tour.

We ended up doing the combo package…wildlife and cave tour. We started off with the wildlife tour with our tour guide Kim. They take you in a covered wagon pulled by a tractor out into the fields to see some deer, elk, wolves,Texas Longhorn cattle and other animals. They even have two black bears and bobcats and mountain lions. After the wildlife tour you go down the path and down the steps into the entrance of the cave where you board a boat and take you into the cave. There is a small gift shop with restrooms and a small café which has Texas Longhorn burgers which all of us tried and they were good. They say that they are five times leaner than average beef. Would highly recommend anybody who wants to do a cave tour to do this one. Would definitely go back again

On our visit we did the cave tour and the maze, unfortunately we were unable to do the wildlife tour due to time constraints. The cave tour is beautiful; it is advisable to be prepared for cool temperatures because it is quite cool inside the cave on the tour no matter how warm it is outside. The visitor center staff is friendly and helpful and the tour guide was great. The grounds are nestled in a lovely farming are of Pennsylvania and were very cleaned and maintained.

My oldest son has been asking to go here for 3 yrs now. We drive by a sign for it every day! I finally took them yesterday. We did the cave, wildlife tour and miners maze. Kinda of pricey but we came to do it all. My boys (10,8,8) had a blast.. We started with the cave tour which last about 1hr (give or take). The caves were interesting but cold (bring a jacket and be prepared to get dripped on). Lots of different rock formations. Guide was knowledgeable and fun (lots of corny jokes). Boats are a little scary (not a fan of boats). But once you get going not so bad. Kids really liked the miners maze. You are times on how fast you can complete the maze so that adds to the fun! (about 15 mins). Last we went on the wildlife tour (1 1/2 hrs). The boys realy enjoyed the tour. Lots of different animals, knowledgeable tour guide and a covered bus (in case it rains, which it did on us). Wolves came right up to the bus. Bears, mountain lion and bobcat are in smaller enclosures so they are easy to see (you have to get off the bus to see these animals). The bears even have their own swimming pool! The gift shop is extensive. Lots of nice things to select from. Not just the usual souvenir junk and the prices are reasonable. Plan on spending a good part of your day here. We arrive about 11am and left at 3:30pm We were short on time or we would have spent a little more time looking around the grounds. Boys all loved it. So did the grandparents who joined us for the trip. All agreed it was a great day out, just wish we had more time!

Penn's cave is extensive park with different tours . Wildlife park is very amazing you can see animals up close while you setting in the bus with open windows ,some stop they let you off from the bus. Ground of the park is anormous the whole tour 1h 30 min. Me and my husband only had two tours. Next tour was Penn's cave ohhhhh I have no words how amazing it was!!!! Boat took us inside of the cave. Well so beautiful little chilly you need a sweater on.

I wasn't sure about Penn's Cave but thought we'd give it a try. Much better than I had imagined! We were a little short on time, so we only did the cave tour. So interesting! My 8 yr old was a little nervous about the boats -- they are older and sit very low in the water -- but relaxed after a bit. I would be VERY nervous about bringing a baby or toddler on board. It was chilly & damp inside. We got dripped on quite a lot, which only added to the overall experience. The cave isn't stunning beautiful and doesn't have that unusual of formations. What is unique is the water experience and cave's history. Our guide was solid (although lacking a bit in enthusiasm). We were lucky to be seated next to a family that shared our twisted sense of humor. Really enjoyed the whole experience. We were there on a beautiful Friday around lunchtime and had a wait of about 40 minutes until our tour. We brought our outdoors camera (waterproof) and ended up with some awesome shots.Be prepared for some hills and steep steps. Bring a couple quarters to feed the fish while waiting for the boat. Free parking.Teen rated it 5 out of 5. 8 yr old rated it 4 out of 5 (took away one star for the "scary" boats).

Went with family and little kids, tho prob better without little babies. Was dark and little cold, even though it was August. Interesting experience tho.

I really enjoyed my trip. We started with the cave tour. It was a very interesting experience to see the formation of the rocks and the guide was good at pointing out interesting spots. I took a lot of pictures and recommend bringing extra batteries. The only bad part was climbing back up the hill to the store after the tour. We then did the wildlife tour. You get a good look at the farm as well as the animals. The deer come right up to the bus for treats. The wolves also approach the fence for their treats. The bears and other animals were not as interested in the tourists. The sunflower farm is very beautiful. The shop has great prices on all kinds of gifts. I did most of my shopping for friends and family there. They have a three pack of t-shirts for around $20 which is a great deal. I found some cute craft items. Some of the items there were also at the Philadelphia airport at double the price. Definitely take time to shop. We only got a snack at the cafe but everyone eating there seemed to enjoy their food and the employees were very friendly.

Penn's cave was one of the highlights of our trip to PA. What an amazing sight to be inside the cave. The sunflower field was gorgeous. The wildlife tour was educational and the staff giving the tour was very knowledgeable. Too many tour buses coming at one time though, we was overwhelming when you are an individual family coming on your own for a day out.

Me and my son came to the park on the field trips with my son's camp. We began the trip by doing to maze. It was a lot of fun trying to race people to the to finish line. After the maze we toured the wildlife park on a bus. our tour guide was very knowledgeable and was able to answer all of the children's questions. we saw antelope, bison and even wolves. Our final stop was the caves. Water flows through the cave from an underground spring so this tour was taken by boat. It was cold in the cave so take a jacket. The temperature of the cave is always 55 degrees. The tour was absolutely amazing but it was short The tour guide was knowledgeable of the history of the caves. I would recommend this tripto anyone.
