Blair Vineyard started as a farm field a few years ago and has evolved into a beautiful establishment that looks like it has been there for decades. I don't know if the company has been doing this for a while, but it looks like it. The wines are very good and the tasting room makes a pleasant visit. The view of the rolling Pennsylvania Dutch farmland through the windows is worth the visit all by itself. The staff was cheerful and friendly and made the whole visit very enjoyable.

This place is beautiful. It is to bad that the service and wine are not as good as the setting. This is the first winery I have ever been to where I did not leave with a bottle or two. The people were more concerned with collecting my money than discussing or presenting the wine.

Better varietals make a better wine. These people know their stuff...blends are fantastic, too. Try this place for friendly, knowledgeable owners.

We went to Blair on the weekend and we were pleasantly surprised. The owner and his staff were every knowledgeable and friendly. We purchased 2 bottles of wine and drank one of them under their large covered deck. To go with it, we purchased cheese and bread. The prices were reasonable and the wine was delicious. It is a great way to spend an afternoon and, also, to enjoy the wonderful scenery that surrounds the property.

This is a beautiful and wonderful PA winery set up on a hill overlooking rows of grape vines. They offer the best reds my husband and I have tried at a PA winery. They have complex flavor profiles that continue to unveil themselves with each wonderful, relaxing sip! The people who work there are very friendly and knowledgeable about their wines. They offer generous portions during the tastings. Once you decide on a favorite, they offer a beautiful patio to sip and enjoy, where even your dog is welcome! Right now my favorite is their 2010 Pinot Noir from Lehigh Valley grapes, but their other 2010 Pinot is really exceptional too! There is a $5 tasting fee that is waived with the purchase of a bottle.

Excellent way to spend an afternoon! The view was gorgeous and the owners and staff knowledgeable and friendly. You can taste wine, buy some cheese and crackers or bring your own picnic lunch and have a bottle of wine on the patio! Dry wines were outstanding!!

While at the Kutztown festival I decided to stop at Blair Vineyards, and what a surprise. I had a lot of bad experiences with Pennsylvania wineries and wasn't expecting much better with my visit to Blair Vineyards and was I surprised . Their 2007 merlot was as good as many of the Washington State Merlots that I have come to love. In Fact I wasn't disappointed in any of their Dry reds. Aged in some of the finest French and American Oaks, favor busts of Cherries, plums and coffee. I purchased 6 bottles and will make it a point to stop back here several more times this year to enjoy the fruits of their labor. Also bring some food along , outdoor seating with tables are available overlooking their very large vineyard and the people there are very knowledgeable and friendly and treat you like you like family.

Stopped in for a tasting on a weekend and was thrilled with the European wines. This family's hard work and dedication to wine making has paid off with quality wines. Our hosts were very knowledgeable and personable. It was a pleasant atmosphere and we chatted with other visitors. Lovely location with grand views; makes for a great place to gather friends and have a perfect afternoon. Do check their website for special events. Happy Hour and Tapas are featured every Friday, 5:30-8:30 June through September.

I spent an afternoon here when Blair opened their tasting room to benefit the local Kutztown Public Library. This is a relatively new winery, and I have an uncultured nose, so I can not judge the wines. I did see repeat customers come to buy wine the case, so it must be pretty good. The view from Blair Winery is my favorite from any winery in this area. The tasting room is on a high hill, and to the northwest you have unobstructed views of Blue Mountain. They also bake baguettes and stock local cheeses. The will open the bottle and you can sit, taste and soak in the view. Personally, I would suggest a designated driver as the roadway back to RT 78, the nearest major highway, is very scenic, but also narrow and winding.

Cool tasting room nestled atop a hill in the middle of the vineyard. Def one of my fav places for reds.

I described this vineyard as in process because it felt as if they were still working on it. The drive to the actual vineyard seems to wind up the side of a hill filled with grapevines. Clean looking, organized. Inside, a small testing counter, a hibachi grill, and tables. They explained that they have cooks come out and serve 3 course meals served with wine. Advance tickets, I am sure. I thought that would be a fun night out with friends. Outside seating available. But, being that we like a very sweet wine, we didn't have any favorites. There is only a testing fee is you don't purchase a bottle of wine, so in the end-- we asked for their most popular wine and bought it as a gift. The person explained that their wines were a French style. To me they were very dry. I wish that they offered a fruitier, sweeter wine. Maybe in the future. We will definitely check them out next year in case they decide to try a sweeter wine. 3 stars only based on wine varieties offered.

This was stop 2 for our Lehigh valley vineyards stop. This vineyards had such great reviews that we had to stop. We called ahead of time and they are super kid friendly. The staff and winemaker could not be nicer. The winery has some nice views of the vineyard. The wine tasting currently was $5 and you could try six. I thought their lover leap, Pinot noir (especially the stone hedge) were very good. Some of their sweeter reds were great like their clink and drink and the metamorphosis. Hands down would go again!

We had a friend visiting and found an ad in the newspaper advertising that Blair Vineyards was giving tours at 12:30 and 2:30. We drove about 45 minutes to get there, thinking it would be a nice way to spend some time outdoors. We got there a bit early and did some wine tasting ($5 for 6 samples). It's nothing special inside, though they do have a nice patio with tables outdoors. We were told the tour would start at 12:30 outside the front door, so we went out and stood around a while. At 12:45 we inquired about the tour and were given the same line, that it would start at 12:30 outside the front door. Guess they didn't have a clock! At 12:55 we wandered down to look a little closer at the vines, watching the front door the whole time. At 1:05 we gave up, disappointed with the whole experience. Don't advertise a tour if you're not going to do it! Next time we'll go back to the nearby Pinnacle Ridge Winery, where we had a very interesting tour and good wine a few years ago.

Blair Vineyards is one of our favorite wineries and one leg of what I like to call the "Golden Triangle" of PA wineries. Great place to relax with some of the best wines, friendly staff and beautiful country views. The others which are all in close proximity and can be done all in one day are Pinnacle Ridge Winery off old Rt. 22, about 3-4 miles away and Vynecrest Winery about anothe 6 miles from Pinnacle Ridge. Visit these, and you won't be disappointed! A great sampling of what is being done at PA wineries. I will be writing a similar review of the other two.

We are big fans of Blair Vineyards. The staff are warm and welcoming. The wines are crafted by a French wine maker. We have tasted wines in France, Italy, CA, NY and PAand are very pleased with their wines. We have attended the Wine Maker Dinners featuring local chefs paired with their wines!!! Loved them!!! I hosted my daughter's bridal shower there this winter and can't thank the staff enough for helping us create such wonderful memories! It was perfect! The winery provided the linens, tableware, use of kitchen, wine glasses and wine. We brought in everything else and they assisted with set up and clean up. The staff couldn't have been more accomodating! Everyone had a fantastic time, including our dog! Our family and friends from out of state couldn't believe that PA has a winery that not only made wine, but wine they actually enjoyed!
