I am a local that visits the Spa at Bear Creek a few times a year. Love the atmosphere. For the most part all of the masseuses are great. Always have a great experience and then lunch at the cafe upstairs that overlooks the pool. Great lunch menu in a fun relaxing atmosphere!

Enjoyed a wonderful day at the Spa at the Bear Creek Mountain Resort. This spa is top of the line and has all the amenities of a 5 star hotel. My massage therapist, Meg, is wonderful at integrated massages. I then followed up with a visit to the steam room. After all the services were completed my complementary glass of wine was enjoyed on the patio by the pool on a gorgeous summer day. The spa is immaculately clean, wonderfully designed and has the top of the line equipment.

Originally, my party of three (3) ladies were scheduled for spa packages involving massages and wraps, etc. We received a call the morning of, and we were told that a therapist cancelled--leading to cancellation of some of our services. Obviously, we were HIGHLY disappointed! However, upon arrival at this very classy, modern, and beautiful facility (first time visiting), we were truly impressed by the service, hospitality, and amenities the facility provided! We spent the day enjoying the sauna, hot tub, pool, lounging areas, and refreshments (delicious wine :)). And, when we went to pay--they offered us a 25% discount as recompense for our lost services. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND this Spa and resort to anyone!!

I have visited Bear Creek numerous times, going back as far as when it was called Doe Mountain. The resort has come along way! And all in good ways! My family and I will continue to visit. Fun family place for all ages with skiing and snow tubing. If you are looking for extreme skiing, this is not the resort. If you are looking for a fun, relaxing, fun day of skiing with the family, then this is the place for you! The food is great, and the lodge atmosphere is very pleasing.

If you live in the Philadelphia Metro area and want to casual, family skiing then this might just be the place for you. The slopes are easy and friendly as is the staff and the patrons. Slopes were well groomed. There is a shuttle to and from the parking lots. Food at the lodge is what you expect at a ski mountain. Prices are reasonable and FREE for seniors so get out there and ski with your grandchildren.......something you will all remember for a lifetime. WE WILL!!!!!

Wonderful massage for both of us, very relaxing and beautiful facilities to go with it. Great staff as well, very attentive.

I live close to Bear Creek so I eat at the Grille restaurant quite a few times a year. I love their food ( try the chicken sandwich and fries made with peanut ). The slopes are small and not too challenging but worth a drive from the Philly area.

I visited the Spa at Bear Creek for the second time since last year. This particular trip was planned by my maid of honor for a bachelorette spa day. We had an awesome time in the outdoor hot tub, waving at skiers as they went by. The chill in the air was fantastic. After a light lunch (I believe it was the Califonia Chicken Salad) which was very good, we went for our massages, then pedicures/manicures. The only single complaint I have is that the "waiting area" is combined for men and women. At one point there were a few men in robes and they looked quite uncomfortable with the women strolling by. Overall a nice relaxing day at the spa!

Having first dated met my high school sweetheart (whose been my wife the past 39 years) at a western Pennsylvania ski resort, I somehow felt it only fitting that we begin our romantic winter vacation to the warm Caribbean with a cold run down the slopes of ski resort. I was lucky to find Bear Creek Mountain Resort (not too far from the Philadelphia International Airport) and decided to give it a try after nearly 4 decades of not skiing. I couldn't have picked a nicer place for us to try skiing again. The contemporary styled buildings, restaurants and facilities were all fresh, vibrant, and attractive. The staff was helpful, the slopes well groomed, and the newer style of skis made it a breeze to return to the sport. Rope tows and poma lifts have been replaced with carpet mat lifts, and double chair lifts have been replaced with quads....but the snow is still white! Certainly this resort does not offer the slopes of a Breckenridge, Aspen, or Stowe; but it is a perfect place for young families, or couples of any age to begin skiing or sharpen up their skills before traveling west or north. Our family joined us for a delightful lunch at 'The Grill at Bear Creek' which provided great views of the slopes and nice upscale dining services. If you live with-in a 2 hour drive, this resort is well worth the travel.

The hotel was Ok, not as upscale as I believed it would be but OK. This review is about the spa, an altogether different story. I have been both wowed and disappointed in places which I have visited but rarely has an experience left me feeling this uncomfortable. While the place looks appealing and the staff appears competent, Brenda, the "massage therapist" who worked on me was one of the least competent individuals it has been my misfortune to meet. The massage was superficial at best and she seemed to be reading a massage manual while she was working on me so she could figure out what to do next. That was bad enough, but her "running commentary (to herself?) about various "body parts" made me very uncomfortable and made me question where she worked before. If I could have gotten up and walked out I would have. The final insult was her general disdain for me as a person, I got the distinct impression that I was nothing more than a paycheck. Granted, in a hotel setting I must presume most clients are transients but a professional should never presume someone is a "one-timer". In other words, it's not about you, Brenda.
