I was unimpressed. The 2 hour "class" consisted of 2 minutes of very basic and kind of a "duh" explanation (this is how you hold the paddle. You start on your knees and then stand up when you feel comfortable) and the rest was a very slow paddle upriver, a little break and with the river stream return to the dock. Massively overpriced. Last year it was $30, this year its $43 per person. It wasn't a horrible way to spend the afternoon but I won't be back.

Just had a paddle board lesson at the Elizabeth location. Weather was perfect. Made reservations for next weekend. Can't wait. Everyone should try this.

We had never paddleboarded before but we all picked it up in no time! My son is only 12 and had a blast and I am 40 and had just as much fun. It was a really great way to see the river and spend time together. I would recommend it to anybody looking to get out and enjoy the outdoors with friends or family.

I would have to agree with the reviewer from July 31st. I had the same problem with the living social coupon and the owner was very rude. I will never visit this establishment again.

I had never paddle boarded before and Sandy was so great to instill confidence in me!! She showed me what to do and lo and behold I got'r done! Love the scenery...the river is gorgeous there. The shop is friendly and fun. The people that work there are great. I've since been back and plan on heading back again as soon as I can. And I drive almost an hour to get there and it's well worth it.

I am an avid outdoors woman. I LOVE the water and do just about everything on it - except for Paddleboarding....I had not heard of it. Much to my surprise it reminded me of surfing, just without the killer waves (unless you are following a big cruiser on the River! ;)) anyway, I couldn't WAIT to give this a try. As I made the drive down to the Yough location, and entered into the facility, I crossed over the Great Allegheny Passage bike trail (SWEET - something else I love to do) and right by the Boston Waterfront Restaurant (which by the way has amazing food and entertainment!) A big smile came across my face when I beheld the beautiful Yough River (it's always about the water)! What incredible scenery being so close to the city! I was met with such enthusiasm by the Board Staff, I thought, YES....this is gonna be a great day! And was it ever! I was instructed how to mount the board from the dock and clearly instructed on how to Paddleboard! It was a synch! I immediately fell in love with this new sport and the Board Staff at Northeast Paddleboard. I highly recommend giving this a try! Once you try it, you'll be hooked as I am! .......love, peace and paddleboard.

I adopted the theme or motto of the paddleboard shop, "Peace, Love & Paddle boarding." I was afraid to venture into this as a non-swimmer and klutz but I was talked into it and am grateful. The experience is great because it is easier than you would ever think & your safety as a poor swimmer is not at risk being you are strapped to the paddle board which is a flotation device. Once I realized everything was safe & that I can do this, it is a peaceful, serene atmosphere that you can float, soak up the sun, or get a bit if a workout without feeling pain the next day. I love it & everyone I have met or dealt with has been nice & extremely accommodating. I have been back many times & will return as long as the weather let's me : )

I first learned about Paddle-boarding by a great friend of mine. I was thrilled when I found NEP. My boyfriend and I have gone numerous times and absolutely loved the staff and the experience. I highly recommend this place. I have read the one review about the owner being rude and this is far from the truth!!! Sandy was there when I first went to paddle board and she was absolutely amazing and accommodated our every request.

I had never been on a paddleboard before, so I required instructions on proper, safe usage. I found the staff to be helpful answering any questions I had and also informative about the water we were on and the sport of paddleboarding. While it was great exercise, I also found it very relaxing; the serenity of the being on the water on a gorgeous day combined with the beauty of the surrounding natural landscapes and lack of noise was incredible! Since this trip I've been back to Northeast Paddleboard Co., but this time with a large group of children for a birthday party! Everyone had a great experience- the owner was very accommodating with such a large group (15 at a time)- and most importantly, the kids had a blast AND were safe the entire time. I even had my youngest son (5 yrs old) on a paddleboard and he did great! An overall fun time, good value, and excellent experience for all ages!

I was having my 30th birthday party and wanted to do something different and outside, enter Sandy from Northeast Paddle Board company. Not only did she accommodate my rather large group of friends she personally showed each of us how to paddle. She also had drinks for us so we didn't have to walk to the clubhouse every time we wanted one. On top of all the paddle boarding fun, she had a huge blow up raft we all got to layout on and relax while still on the water! By far the best day, and birthday I have ever had! Sandy and the Northeast Paddleboard Company are a must try for Anyone looking for a fun carefree day on the water.

The shop owner is probably one of the nicest people you will ever meet. She is always willing to cooperate with my busy schedule, and always does what is best. The property is fantastic, and the sights of the yough river are amazing. I would paddleboard here over taking a boat any day.

As we have already apologized profusely for your dissatisfaction, we have served over 3,400 happy paddlers since our opening in 2011 & your complaint is the first of its kind. We dive through hoops of all sizes, sometimes they're even on fire - to accommodate all of our customers. You had a reservation for a large group which you were a no call/no show for. We chose to terminate the relationship and referred your case to Living Social on 08/03. We hope that Living Social may be able to satisfy you, as our many offers and options did not seem to be acceptable. We wish you well and hope you love paddleboarding as much as we do, wherever you may patronize. Mahalo.
