Hedgerow Theatre has once again put together a brilliant cast in this year's Dickens' A Christmas Carol.Convenient, Cozy, Intimate setting provides great venue for A Christmas Carol. The actors greet you as you are leaving for the opportunity to ask questions or pay compliments. The new lower level entrance is inviting, and open. The cast was a perfect mix of charming students and more seasoned actors that we love seeing again. Always check their website for showtimes, ticket purchases, and any special pricing that may be available. Once again, I really enjoyed a classic just minutes from home.

Dedication to the arts in every aspect! Shows are year round so check their website for the Calendar of Events. Children's Theater gets the attentions and instills a desire to perform in young developing minds. Talented actors who become the character they portray. A Must See

"The 39 Steps" was an awesome show! Four very talented actors with a great stage crew. The newly renovated lobby is very nice as is the new garden.

90 years as America's first repertory theatre hasn't dimmed the luster of its performances. Acting and producing traditions abound, with descendants of former stars beginning their climb to fame while teaching others, parking cars, serving refreshments, living the life.

It's not Broadway, but it is great deal more enjoyable. Need some great entertainment along with the charm of beautiful Historic Rose Valley PA. I grew up just a couple of miles away in the not so affluent area, Chester PA. This was my first visit in almost 50 years to this Theater. The show Run for you Wife was just so enjoyable. The cast did a terrific job, dialog is based on timing and movement. They all did it well. Simultaneous events on stage, with the actors portraying to be in different locations - all in one set - I can't understand how they can concentrate on there lines with so much happening..Seating is better than the balcony in any older Broadway play house. Free Parking - just steps away from the entrance. Cars are directed into the lot by what turned out to be a major cast member. My best guess is they hold about 150 people, all the seats were filled with people who appreciated the performance. We were about the middle row of 1 - 12 and the six of us had center seating. Actually row F - possibly the best seats in the house.Treat yourself to a show - Tickets were under $ 30.00

Hederow Theatre has been around many years and it is well worth the trip to Rosé Valley toattend a performance. We love their yearly productions of British farces by Ray Cooney. Thetheatre, itself, is an old mill that has been totally renovated. The staff is professional and verywelcoming.

It is hard to describe just how magical this little theater is. It has benefitted from the work of Wharton G. Esherick, who was a wonderful woodworker in the 40's & 50's. Wortha trip just for the edcore!

I took my daughter here to see Charlottes Web and we absolutely loved it. I almost went back to see it again. The theater has the greatest old world charm, and the cast gave out lemonade and animal crackers after the show. Just lovely!

I love visiting Hedgerow Theater because I have never seen a show that I didn't thoroughly enjoy. I also love the old stone building it is housed in. It creates such a pleasing atmosphere with the actors and actresses greeting you after the show as you are leaving. They serve soft drinks and cookies during intermission. It is such a humble environment with so much good will toward its visitors. The shows are great and the prices are very reasonable.

It has been three years since my wife and I left the Media area, but we still miss the Hedgerow Theater. This place is a gem. It is "out in the boonies" but it is a first rate attraction well worth the effort it takes to find it. Don't be surprised if the person directing you to a parking spot later turns up as the lead actor in the play you are going to see. One of the specialties of this troupe is its annual performance of a Ray Cooney farce. No one can say that the English don't have a sense of humor, and The Hedgerow players can prove that with their performances. The setting is a beautiful old gristmall converted into a live theater venue. As this is a teaching experience for aspiring actors, many performers lmove on after a few years to get experience with other acting companies. It almost feels as if you are losing a family member when this happens, however there are a few "lifers" who get to know you once you get hooked and come here regularly.

This pocket theatre is where stars are born, and may go on to shine elsewhere.Rustic and regional, this theatre puts on good to great plays---standards and newbies. To stay alive, it competes with the Media Theatre, Media, PA, up the road. And, that theatre has equity players.Sitting in Rose Valley, PA, it oozes the arts from its walls to the surrounding neighborhood. Look up : the school in Rose Valley.Nestled in the vail between Chester and Media, this has survived all types of economies. And, it attracts all ages, from near and far. It truly is something for everyone.Parking lot, and I do mean lot, on site.Negative: I told you it was rustic. No plush accomodations here.

Have been a patron since I was a child. I am always impressed with the quality of acting, which is my main draw to theater. Costumes, props, etc, are always great there too, but not things I value as much as the acting, and I'd say the acting is always well done, rivaling and often besting downtown playhouses. The play selection is normally on-the-money for our taste although sometimes a little on the political end, which I guess more locals seem to be into than we are. That's the closest I can come to complaining about Hedgerow. All in all, we've always enjoyed the shows Hedgerow produces. (As a child I always loved the children's theater which is still going strong.) The staff is always professional, friendly and helpful. The ambiance of the Art Nouveau/Arts & Crafts historic site is icing on the cake!

Hedgerow is a great place to see a show. It also surprised me because it looked a little run down but they put on a great Christmas carol play and I would like to go back.

Hedgerow is a historic site in a beautiful location. It's a professional theater with a legacy of training artists who go on to professional careers. Actors ranging from Keanu Reeves to Margaret Hamilton, Paul Robeson and Tyne Daly have performed there. The mainstage shows are well done. There are also shows put on by the students in the theater school that are as good as the kids in them. It's small and intimate. The children's shows allow little ones to be part of the action and it's a great place to introduce them to live theater.
