The place just reopened as the Freckled Radish. Other than the sign draped around the old Ox sign, that was the only thing Irish I noticed. I walked in the to see old Christmas lights hang ramdomly in the lobby. Not lit btw. For a newly opened restaurant, it was the same Ox from 5 years ago. It didn't even look like they cleaned the floors. I sat at the bar. After 5 minutes someone finally acknowledged me but it took another 5 minutes before I was asked what I wanted. I asked for their craft beer list and the bartender told me they were only open 3 days and they don't have a list yet. She then began to open every beer case and tell me what they had. Every beer I asked for, they did not have. I ordered something they had. I read the menu and it seemed pricey. 7 for a bowl of soup, 10 for a hamburger and 13 for a crab cake. Needless to say, I didn't eat. First impressions was they put nothing in to this building. They turned the key, bought some supplies and opened. I will ask before I try they food. Better be out of this world for those prices but what I observed nothing special. Oh I was able to see into the kitchen and counted at least 6 guys working a line and the place was not busy. I am just reluctant to buy a 10 dollar hamburger, after all this is not the city, it's New Oxford.
