So the park has a little of everything . There is a walking area by the baseball field . A pool ( under repair / out of service.) carousel and a nice picnic area. Small mini golf course. Across the street are basketball courts and a skatepark . They also host carnivals here. A few places to eat close by and get get.

Weona park is one of those hidden gems you occasionally come across. My wife and I set out for Weona park to get pictures of their antique carousel. We found more than we expected.First, the carousel is in amazing shape and even has rings to catch. While the music is on tape, the ride features rings to grab and you return the rings by tossing them into a clown's pants. The animals do not go up and down, but the carousel does feature a rare set of giraffes. Best of all the cost is only $1 a ride.Second, an equally well kept miniature golf course sits next to the carousel. The holes are old fashioned wooden obstacles (buildings and such) but the fairways and greens are enhanced with some slopes and rough 'grass' (AstroTurf). It's a type of miniature golf course that young, teens and adults can enjoy. And the rest... Several pavilions with picnic tables for groups seeking shade (or avoiding a summer shower), a small playground and a picnic grove with tables and stone grills makes this a great spot for a picnic. One downside that may be fixed in the future is that the swimming pool is currently closed. My understanding is it is due to repairs and has no date on when it will reopen to the public,
