My husband and I attempted an evening flight in the spring, but was canceled due to bad weather. We decided on a dawn flight in the Fall. So glad that flight worked out as the autumn colors were beautiful. I'm afraid of heights, and this trip did not bother me. We floated effortlessly up into the air, and our skilled pilot was also an excellent tour guide knowing much about the area. The landing was a wonderful part of the experience as all the residents came out to greet us, and they were just a thrilled to have us drop in. I would highly recommend this experience.

Over the past few years, my husband and I have had the opportunity to fly with the US Hot Air Balloon Team in the Lancaster/Bird-in-Hand area. We were also fortunate enough to fly with them in Albequerque, New Mexico at the Albuquerque International Hot Air Balloon Festival just last week. What an incredible experience that was! No matter where we fly with the USHABT, we are truly treated like royalty. Their pilots and crew are highly experienced and top notch professionals, with their passengers' safety being priority #1. Priority #2 is to make sure you have the time of your life and an experience you'll never forget. We've flown with other companies both locally (in Pennsylvania) and across the country, and they have all paled in comparison to the experiences we have had with the USHABT. If you're thinking about taking a balloon ride - look no further than the US Hot Air Balloon Team ... all I can say is JUST DO IT! You will not be disappointed. :-)

the total experience was great, we started by helping setup the balloon for the flight.then we were up up and away. The pilot was great we not only went up,but also down close to the tops of houses where people came out to wave and talk to us. Then the landing, we landed in a golf course where people were still golfing. I think they even thought that was cool, to have a balloon land there. Once on the ground you get to help load up the balloon for the ride back to the take off spot where we enjoyed cheese and crackers. it was a wonderful time and helped to fulfill my bucket list. Also it was our anniversary, one year to the day. Thanks

I bought a gift certificate for my husband and both of us really enjoyed the ride. Lucas, the pilot, is very knowledgable and the team is very friendly. We landed in some Amish family's meadow and had it was nice to see how the Amish live and talk to them since neither my husband nor I have never seen the Amish people. It was an experience of a lifetime and I would definitely recommend others to take a hot air balloon ride with US Hot Air Balloon!

Everyone was so friendly, granted we did have to reschedule 4 times. They were really nice about it though, they even called me in advance to let me know there was a chance of canceling due to weather so I didn't make the drive, then said they would wait for us to get there if it was still on! Honestly I am glad they cancelled, I would much rather be safe than sorry. It was a pain driving up and back so many times but I would much rather them feel 100% sure the flight would go off without a problem than chance it. Overall it was a great experience!

Wife bought a trip for us as a birthday present for me. The balloon ride was incredibly still the entire time so even if you're not a fan of flying (such as my wife) you can very easily do this; we couldn't even tell we were moving when we were up in the air. Staff was great. Clear day allowed us to see Center City Philly, 42 miles away. It's not cheap but if you have the means to do it, it's worth it. Be advised the flights are completely dependent on the weather so don't be surprised if your ride is cancelled the day-of; the first time we were scheduled to go the weather was perfectly nice on the ground but the wind conditions above were not right so we were postponed. However, the tickets never expire so you can reschedule anytime (we actually completed our trip two years after buying the tickets because we don't live in the area; we're only there sporadically to visit family). Flight time was about an hour and the whole experience lasted about 2.5-3 hours.

While visiting my Dad in Pottstown he surprised me with a hot air balloon ride at sunrise. It was a wonderful ride and so quiet except for the people. There were some others with us that were really nice. I totally enjoyed this. Thanks Dad

Peaceful describes our ride and I am afraid of heights. Get me to the top of a ladder and I am scared! Not on this balloon ride. I didn't mind the height at all. You move so slowly it is like you are not really moving but then you realize you are up there. We saw a beautiful sunrise, awesome scenery and had a great time experiencing this with friends. It was evident the pilot, Stan Hess, had years of experience and made us feel very comfortable. Customer service seems to be a high priority for this firm and I rate them a 10! I am a Christian and appreciated the writing on the balloon "Do All To The Glory Of God!" That is a life goal of mine and certainly liked seeing God's creation from a mile high. This was a bucket list item for me so I can check this off but now feel the desire to do it again with another group of friends or co-workers. I will be back and wouldn't consider any other company other than US Hot Air Ballon Team!!

We went to the us hot balloon ride in Pottstown pa. Recommended when I called them that this would be a better location than Lancaster. This was the most traumatic day in all of our lives (6 family members) 4 strangers. The ride ended in a Horrific tragedy. Fathers daY JUNE 2014. Read the local and Philadelphia newspapers. The owner has NOT been responsive to any of our needs/ concerns etc. I recommend NEVER USING this company because apparently the only way to have any impact is financial.

The balloon team was fantastic, I was really impressed with the pilot and the crew. When I looked at that basket, though, and the 6 riders plus the pilot, I couldn't imagine how we'd be at all comfortable. But when we were all in there, it was fine, and we each had a slightly different view. It was a foggy morning so we could see the mist clinging to hills, and we went over wooded areas and farms, saw horses, cows and a bicycle club winding in and out of trees. Bodies of water looked so different, everything looked so different! I wasn't scared at all. There was a grandmother with her teenaged granddaughter, a couple in their 60s, and my friend and I in our late 40s. The pilot warned us that landing can be bumpy, and it was! But the two crew members helped steady the basket as we bounced a couple times before we stopped. Seeing the balloon inflate and deflate was interesting. We had to reschedule a few times, weather kept causing cancellations, but it was so worth it. They say the morning flight is more likely to happen than the evening flight, so we sucked it up and got there at 6am. Again, totally worth it. If you have a spirit of adventure and are not afraid of heights (and don't mind getting up at 4am on a weekday), give this a try!!!

Beautiful sites and a great experience! Only problem had was that they split me and my boyfriend up into different sections of the basket... Considering it was for our anniversary we weren't too happy about that... But luckly we were right next to each other still so we could enjoy the ride together. Overall, awesome time!

Despite having to reschedule many times due to weather, we really enjoyed our experience when we were finally able to fly! I didn't wear a hat tho and they suggest you do but being a suggestion I think it should be required as a must! Without it, your head WILL GET HOT. Our operator was great, even offered to take pics of us on the balloon with some staging. The toasting flutes to take home were a nice touch.

I took my university class on this balloon trip as a field trip (6 students plus myself). The pilot and crew were very professional and fun. The weather was perfect too. It was a great experience that I hope to repeat with my future classes. The video is posted on our University's Youtube page:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jX6LyIZK6wIAnd it is also up on our Website with the article:http://canr.udel.edu/blog/landscape-ecology-class-flies-hot-air-balloon-learn-habitat-complexities/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=landscape-ecology-class-flies-hot-air-balloon-learn-habitat-complexities
