The culture that we have in NEPA is fabulous. The performing arts center is very nice. The folks are incredibly helpful and every show is full of life. Dinner and the Philharmonic, what a classy night out.

The NEPA Philharmonic is the compilation of what was once two orchestras - one in Wilkes-Barre and one in sister city Scranton. The combining of both into one outstanding Philharmonic gives both cities the opportunity to enjoy the benefits. They perform several times a year, tickets are available by series or individual ticketing and the enjoyment is unwavering. They generally perform the same selections on Friday night in Scranton and on Saturday night in Wilkes-Barre.

The Northeastern Pennsylvania Philharmonic performs several times per year. We always go to the Kirby Center in downtown Wilkes-Barre to see the show. They offer a wide variety of music which meets the needs of all ages.

The music is varied and the price is right. I love the education that is provided by the musical experience of the philharmonic.

This is the 3rd year for attending the NEPA concerts in Scranton and Wilkes Barre and each concert is better than the last. Lawrence Loh has done a wonderful job in conducting this talented group of musicians. The seats have always been great at both venues. We've invited friends to attend (invite a friend free with season tickets) that have said it has been as enjoyable as the Philadelphia Orchestra. You can't go wrong in an evening here.

We attend the Pops concerts which have good themes, very often with guest performers (vocalists) and a very excellent regional philharmonic orchestra.

The NEPA Philharmonic is an all around great entertainment value. The music is world class, and they get great guest artists.

NEPA Philharmonic--sounds sort of provincial, doesn't it! But Maestro Larry Low conducts superbly and even better: he knows his audience and so features what others might call old war horses of the classical repertoire with an occasional newbie thrown in. As for the musicians, relatively few are local; far and away most come from the metropolitan NY area, where they practice their profession among other NY musicians all of which is to say, they're of high quality. And the soloists are also outstanding largely because Maestro Low, who is a principal conductor of the Pittsburgh SO, knows lots of musicians. Oh, on occasion someone in the horn section will hit a lemon, but I've attended concerts--Carmina Burana, a Brahms oratorio--where everything was perfect, and I left feeling sublime. Finally, the Philharmonic provides cough drops eliminating one annoyance. I know that; our donation pays for them.

This was our first time at a NEPA Phil performance, The venue is impressive, not a bad seat in the house. The performance was better than expected. Will attend other performances. A recommend activity.

One of, if not THE, best regional orchestras in the country. Maestro Lawrence Loh has assembled a cadre of superb musicians, many of whom are from NYC, that rivals any American orchestra. Loh is dynamic, exuberant, energetic and gracious, and has done a tremendous service to the arts by bring this superb ensemble to the Scranton-Wilkes-Barre area. We never miss a performance!
