Last Saturday evening, my granddaughter and her husband treated my wife and me to front row seats at YORK LITTLE THEATER for a performance of the musical SWEENY TODD. We thoroughly enjoyed the performance and were pleasantly surprised at the talent of the performers, many of whom are non-paid amateurs. I'll be ready to go again, soon.

I saw Grease here opening night in Sept. The cast was wonderful for local theatre. "Rizzo" could belt out a tune with the best. If you closed your eyes when "Sandy" was singing at times you'd swear it was Olivia Newton John. Christopher Quigley a YLT regular was in fine form as Vince Vontane. I liked the 2-level set....l don't think this is the normal staging for Grease.I have also seen the Baltimore Mandolin Orchestra here & the acousitcs are excellent for this type of performance.I look forward to seeing their performance of Sweeny Todd in Feb.

Went to the production "Wizard of OZ" last night for my birthday and thoroughly enjoyed it. I have been going to shows @ YLT for many years. My son now 24 and a college graduate was a cast member in several shows. I was a volunteer in the past and help with concession sales and also helped with set construction in late 1990's and early 2000's. I have always enjoyed YLT and was happy to make a donation during the last capital campaign. I think the recent support by the community is fantastic and have seen a much improved and vibrant YLT. Thank-you YLT for being there for all of us. Your recent production was wonderful. The music, talent, leadership and costumes were first rate. Keep up the GREAT work.

We took our granddaughter to see Shrek the Musical at YLT. Everything about this show was excellent right down to the set changes! York is very fortunate to have such a wonderful group of actors and musicians and staff who are dedicated to promoting the theater! We will be returning again very soon!

This little theatre, tucked away on a side street in York Pa, is so worth taking a chance and find a seat. They are not Broadway nor are they the hottest star on the news. But! I found it to be quit charming and I also found that I would return. This cast of people gave it all they had and put on a great performance. You may not catch the one I got to see, but they put on shows all the time. They have a cute little web site you can check out. Take a chance and help this group out by going and giving a nice review to help them along. Thanks from a (you've got me hooked) York county resident.

We took the family to see "Shrek The Musical" this weekend. What wonderful, local talent. The music was spot on, beautiful! The show was Shrek. The community actors/actresses were wonderful. The theater is older but I love how small and close to everything is to the audience. This is not our first show. All shows I've seen have been go the same caliber. I gave 4 stars only because of the datedness of the theater. A wonderful way to spend a night out with a date or the family.

Although the performers are mateurs, they give energetic performances. Sometimes live music accimoanies and is very good. Reasonable prices, plenty of free parking.

My wife and I took our grandson to a play at the York Little Theater. He is five years old and kind of antsy when sitting too long. He was mesmerized. The acting and directing were great. We will be back.

Although I have been living in the York, PA for five years, this is the first year I have attended shows at,the York Little Theatre. What a pleasant surprise. I saw Cabaret and the Great American Trailer Park and was blown away by the talent exhibited in those two musicals. I have tickets to take my granddaughter to see The Little Mermaid and cannot wait to see this production. Not only is the talent very professional, but the costumes and sets are excellent. Looking forward to the new season.

I'm always amazed at the variety and quality of shows that this community theater can present. It's a great way to keep up with shows without paying Broadway prices.
