A good cheap way to spend some free time. Spend the few bucks to get to the top and enjoy a great view of the bay!

Unfortunately, the day was windy (35+ knots) and was extremely cold. I did however manage to get some great pictures. I would recommend anyone visit the tower.

Enjoyed visiting the tower and learning more about Erie. Quite a fascinating city. We visit the Erie are often and enjoy more about the city and surrounding area.

We recently took our 4 year old here to take some photos of her at sunset. Photos came out great and she loved seeing ppl catching fish. Great spot for a sunset.

For only $4.00 a person you get to take an elevator ride to the most amazing view in Erie. On a clear day you can see for miles, even further with the paid binoculars on the deck. They also have history markers on the railings and posters of all of the sunken ships in Lake Erie. It's windy up there so hold on to your hats!

Couple times we were thinking when is the best time to go, maybe catch the sunset and.. we just went to it in the afternoon and still enjoyed the view.. The upper deck is walkable in a whole circle- see the Bayfront, Presque isle, Sheraton , Convention Center, Erie …There are coin operated viewers, they work on quarters. Tickets are 4 dollars for adults. Works certain hours, details on the official Port Erie web (http://www.porterie.org/). To go up you have to use the elevator, will take you to the upper observation deck. You could stay as much you want. Coming down you could go out back in the souvenir store or stop on the lower observational deck. If you get out on it, you can’t return back to the elevators. On the other hand if you do not like heights this deck also gives a nice view and it is free, just up the stairs of the dock.

Paid $4.00 to go up to the top and was rewarded with great views of the Erie downtown and Lake Erie. Great history facts while you are up at the top as well. Would recommend to anyone visiting Erie.

Nice stop along the lake if going to Erie. Costs 4.00 to get to the top but the views are worth it. Be sure to talk to the older gentleman that takes you to the top. He is very knowledgeable.

Stopped to see his tower while in Erie ,Pa over the weekend. You can take the elevator to the top of the tower and see all over Erie, the bay front and Presque Isle. There were little signs that told the history of the area along the deck. The cost was $4.00 / person and it was well worth it! There was a nice gift shop and snack bar when you entered the tower. Friendly staff there too. Also , it is nearby a couple restaurants, The Maritime museum , mini golf course , Bayfront Conference Center and Sheraton Hotel on the Bayfront. If you are visiting Erie go see this tower! It offers a spectacular view!

The tower offered a great view of Erie and Presque Isle. Watching the sun go down was a treat.Be prepared for Lake Erie winds when you are on the observation deck.We had our 5 year old with us. The kind lady at the ticket counter loaned us her "bubbles" to help our 5 year old last longer. The bubbles were a hit and did allow us more time to take in the view.

I find it a tad weird that I've lived in Erie all my life, but have never went to the top of this tower. I've been to the lower deck but never the top observation deck. I have to say, it was pretty cool and there are wonderful vistas of the city, bay and peninsula up there. It costs $4 for adults except on the first Sunday of every month. It's a lot higher than it looks, but nevertheless, a great destination for those looking for something to do.

We visited the tower on the first Sunday of the month and the visit is free. The wind was so strong I felt I had to hold on so as not to blow over. It was magnificent. The day was clear and the view went on forever. We must have stayed on the lookout for about 45 minutes. All the while the wind was strong. Wonderful visit. The cost is minimal if your not there on the free Sunday.

Lake Erie is one of the biggest lake in north and viewing it from Tower is one of the unique experience you get here at Bicentennial Tower. If you are going to Niagara from this route select Avoid Toll option in GPS and you will see many beautiful spots n beaches on your way.

This is worth the stop to check out the tower. Climb the stairs to the top for one awsome view. There is also an elevator but has a small fee. The steps are worth the view.
