Because we had some spare time on a Sunday afternoon, we decided to attend the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra at Heinz Hall. Wow! We sent an e-mail before we left home. We received an absolutely thorough response about directions from our hotel and what to expect. Because of the e-mail, we were able to save money by purchasing senior discount tickets and we knew to arrive one hour early for a pre-performance talk. The speaker was very enthusiastic and informative. What a great way to get "in the mood" for the performance. As others have written, Heinz Hall is absolutely stunning in its design and appearance. We walked around and stared at it from different vantage points. Even better, the Symphony Orchestra is superb. When it was time to leave, we found ourselves wishing there was more to hear. If we were locals, we would attend every performance! If you have the time, do not miss seeing and hearing this Symphony Orchestra! Pittsburgh, you are very fortunate to have it.

My wife and I visit Heinz Hall a couple of times a year to see a concert. First, it is so beautiful and ornate that you want to get there early just to take in the beauty of the place.Acoustically, it's phenomenal. See a concert there and you'll return many times.

Heinz Hall is a great place to see a show - there are no bad seats. It makes you feel like you are in an old time opera house like in Phantom of the Opera. Since it is so old there is always a line for the ladies restroom so plan ahead.

One of the best if not the best Broadway level theatre I have ever been in. Beauty of European level. A staff volunteer gave me a quick tour and then my son and I attended a lively evening with the Pittsburgh symphony Pops. Already planning my next visit. Truly a must see and experience. Convenient to walk from downtown hotels and variety of restaurants.

This is such a beautiful venue for concerts and shows. The Pittsburgh Symphony is world class and the concerts never disappoint. We are lucky to have this beautiful hall and this amazing orchestra in Pittsburgh.

We attended the Kenny Loggins concert last night, and it was wonderful, not only due to the ageless Kenny and his remarkable band, but because the sound at Heinz Hall is perfection. Many other artists, such as "Chicago" have commented on the great acoustics in the middle of their performances. For Classical or Pop music, Heinz Hall consistently delivers great sound in an elegant venue. It is a great source of pride for Pittsburgh!

Heinz Hall for the Performing Arts is a jewel in the heart of Downtown Pittsbugh. World Class Symphony, Opera, Ballet and international performers in this beautiful building. Make sure you take time to look at the beautiful architecture and paintings on the ceilings!

The hall is beautiful and beautifully maintained. I was on crutches and had very little problems getting around. The attendants at each exit were most helpful and friendly.

While the hall is visually beautiful, its real attraction to us is what appears inside. We attend 7 concerts a season of the wonderful Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra. Their season typically runs from September through mid-June with performance Friday and Saturday nights and Sunday afternoon.

We went to see Aussie Pink Floyd & it was completely amazing. As I said in the title, the architecture is just ridiculous (in a good way lol) and the acoustics rock. More impressive to me is how they accommodate wheelchair users. If you call them they will give you more seating choices than what their website shows. The woman I spoke with was incredibly helpful & we ended up with super close seats at a great price. They actually have certain seats that they can just remove...so I just rolled into the spot where the seat used to be. It was nice to feel like just another person at a concert. Although the incline is a bit steep, it's certainly doable. I was able to get everywhere in the hall I needed to go. I wish more places near where I live were this accessible.

We enjoyed the symphony's "Heroes and Villains." It was very enjoyable from Row Q in the orchestra section. The family circle affords the best acoustics. Please do not expect a European hall, but it was refreshing to see something other than modern in America.

I wanted to visit this place and what better way to see it than to watch a live performance by the Pittsburgh Orchestra, the sound is outstanding and the view from the balcony is amazing. A jewel of place, it will transport you to other time.

We recently saw The Book of Mormon at Heinz Hall. Loved the musical. The venue is beautiful. The sound quality was great which is sometimes a problem in the older theatres. The seats were comfortable. They did a great job handling the crowd. The bar prices were a little crazy but that's not unusual for this type of venue. The outdoor courtyard is a lovely place to escape the crowds at the bar during intermission. It was a great evening out. we will definitely attend future show there.

Saw Book of Mormon. Very good show but also very raw in language and subject matter. Facility is gorgeous and handles crowds efficiently. $10 for 3 oz of cheap wine is a ripoff though!Go early enough to enjoy the outside patio and water features. Access downtown a hassle, but not news in P'burgh. Take public transportation, hotel shuttles or cabs when you can - much less time and not much more in cost.

Incredibly funny show, the sound in this auditorium is great! It had been a long time since I'd seen a play, so one of this nature was a perfect match!
