The Center will give you explanations about the different landmarks you will see in the historic district and about the history of Philadelphia. If you have any questions, you can ask at the desk, they're experts about the city and they will show you everything on very detailed maps.From a practical standpoint, there are restrooms and you can buy food/drinks. My tip is to start at the center before walking around the historic district, you will enjoy your walk more.

Everything was clean and helpful. We had kind and supportive customer service. This helped make our trip as great as it was. There was even a kind older gentleman who worked in the gift shop who heard us talking about doing one of the penny presses so he gave us the shiniest, new penny he could find. We also appreciated that they had their own App that helped you around the city with a lot of great features. Overall, great experience.

Happened upon this by accident while walking around. I love American History and this interactive museum has a lot to offer from a live performance, a Kennedy photographic exhibit, and an original copy of the Bill of Rights. Easy to do in a short time period.

Well located, in the heart of the city. There is a gift shop and cafe, inside. The staff were very helpful and there are plenty of flyers and booklets to read. There is also an area of photos and historical information on Philadelphia.

Good place to start, take advantage of free films and exhibits and get directions and info for the rest of your stay. The other thing to do first is take the Big Bus tour (don't get off in the winter time!) for 90 minutes

It is a compact space which has limited food choices and is a little pricey. However, it is convenient and the bathrooms were spotless.There are also two very interesting films about the revolution in the building. There are park rangers there to supply maps of the area and answer all questions. The were very helpful.

I finally got a chance to visit last spring and it was definitely worth the wait. The center is state-of-the-art and offers a glimpse into the birth and evolution of a country. I especially enjoyed the movie and shed a little tear towards the end. Walking and posing among the presidents was amusing. I would recommend including it on your itinerary if you are visiting historic Philadelphia.

Liberty Hall, it's grounds, the continuos history being shared and performed in and around the Center is rich. It is easy to find and to take in however arrive early to get tickets to Liberty Hall on busy days they do run out.

Went here for information and I got way more then expected. The lady at the desk gave us a map and planned out our day, giving us all the insider information. Plus there is a Rocky statue in there as well as a bathroom and great gift shop!

The Park Service does a nice job - the information counter was staffed by 2 very knowledgeable young women, one of whom helped me later as I went through the park. They provided maps and specific instructions.

Highly recommend starting your visit to historic Philadelphia here. This is also where you will pick up your tickets to Independence Hall ( hopefully you preordered them). They have two movie presentations which were wonderful, lots of information on the sites and helpful Park Rangers who can answer your questions. The restrooms are clean and the whole facility is well maintained. It is centrally located to most points of interest and does have a small gift shop. As a side note, we took the train in from an outlying area and that worked very well for us, lots of helpful folks to guide you...

We were walking distance from the visitor's center. It was a fount of information. The employees were ever so courteous and helpful. We went there daily during our stay.
