The range of talents, media, and art forms is as diverse as the owner herself. The garden display of outdoor sculptures and consists of many different media's, each expressing a particular artists talents. Definitely top drawer. They are very exclusive on the artists they represent, and while I said I wouldn't purchase another 'Hansen" original piece, two days after I saw it on the desk I had to have it and called to see if it was still there. IT WAS! And they delivered it! I now very proudly have it displayed on my office desk and is definitely one of a kind. While I was there I saw a form of art I had never seen before made from intricate layers of very minute cut outs. They were all breath taking and I can tell you it will be hanging on one of my walls before the summer is over. All of the art is unique. They obviously are extremely careful of the artists they represent. Don't stop just to look at paintings, you can find them everywhere. Yes there are paintings, but other art forms you might never had dreamed of seeing. Top Drawer!

Water Street Gallery is my favorite local gallery. If you love fine art you should not miss this small town treasure.

A great selection of fine art and sculpture at fair prices. Lots of Chicago and Michigan collectors come here. Regular gallery shows in the summer celebrate themes.

Mary Jo has clientele from all over Michigan and beyond because of her exquisite taste in building a fine collection for all art lovers. From sculpture to oils, from whimsy to "serious" art, this gallery has much to offer. If you don't see what you're looking for, be sure to ask to see what more she may have that's not on display. Her relationships with her artists also can lead you to have "just the right thing" made just for you. The gallery changes all the time and she runs inventive "shows" to keep things interesting. The prices are right for the market, and a BARGAIN compared to similar in big cities.

It's not often that you find high quality art in a small town. Too often, there's some good art, mixed in with the potpourri, ashtrays, souvenirs, crafts, and other "touristy" junk. Water Street Gallery is distinctly different. While not a huge place, it seems to represent great artists at reasonable prices. It's never the same place twice... good turnover of the art, and always well displayed.Last night we stopped in for their annual glass show... which included both some expected and non-expected glass art. It's always a good place to stop in to, with a friendly gallery staff.

Really, really nice art of all kinds in this gallery. Definitely the best of the many galleries we visited on our trip to the Saugatuck area. The owner is very friendly and knowledgeable as well.

Mary Jo, owner of Water Street, runs a great show at this gallery. Great mix of mediums presented. Her personality is also a true 'draw' to the gallery...very friendly, takes the time to explain an artist's style and also has some of the best events of any gallery I have ever been too. Worth a visit!

Water street Gallery is one of the best galleries I've visited in a long time. An exceptionaly collection of modern fine art, containing both sculpture, painting & photography. What I really enjoy is that they have something for all budget levels, from $400-$12,000. I really was impressed by 2 artists; Tony Saladino & Stephen Hansed. Saladino is an amazing artist that works in many styles, including abstract, still-life, figurative and print-making. What I find amazing is that the is good at all of the mediums. Hansen creates whimsical paper-mache sculptures that provide a humerous commentary on our day-to-day lives and society. Well worth a visit if you're in Saugatuck.
