This course is in excellent shape in the spring and early summer. The greens are consistent and the fairways are plush green. As the summer proceeds and there is less rain, it tends to get dried out and the rough is truly "rough." They have excellent rate specials, such as twilight and senior special, but you have to ask for them. They do not offer the times that rates are lower.

The Heights is a nice, fairly easy course you can play for a reasonable cost. The course is fairly wide open with little trouble for golfers who tend to "stray" when they play. The people who work there are really nice and friendly. The course is kept up really well. Easy to find, right on M61 just west of the town of Gladwin.

Played this course with my grandson in August 2012. An 18-hole course which measures 5895-yards for the men's tees. Water on only a few holes. Course and staff were both very nice.
