This is the place to go for good service, family friendly fun & a great time. Dave and Chris were the guys who sent us on our way down the hill, and they always wore a smile. There are just 2 hills, but they are fun! You can ride solo or with many people, and they'll even spin you! So much fun, and I can't wait to go back!

My husband and I moved to Traverse City 24 years ago. One of the very first things we did was join the Mt Holiday ski club. Our two sons both learned to ski there and many happy moments were spent as a family competing in ski events. The hill is a small one but a perfect learning ground for novice skiers. The ski instructors are caring and careful. My sons have gone on to ski in Colorado and Vermont thanks to their experience at Mt Holiday. We are very fortunate to have such a fine community resource.

We travelled with a large group for a weekend, usually always tube at another facility in this area, and somehow missed Mt. Holiday on our previous two winters here. Checked it out and we were very happy. Great Skiing for little ones, snowboarding and skiing (they allow for one switch so you can do both with your rental fee) and long enough runs for us weak skiers. Took our Littles (4 and 5) and big beginners to the Peter Cotton tail bunny slope and helped them learn, it was a great night. Bar upstairs and an eating area for families, food and service was great.

If you are looking for a great ski resort with longer runs this wont do for you. But if you are looking for a short drive, kid friendly, easy afternoon for snow boarding, tubing or some skiing this is a perfect fit. They could use an update for the Lodge but this place has everything we needed for a great day.

After you've been to the bigger ski re$orts, Mt. Holiday is a refreshingly manageable place to spend the day. My take on this place: If your good friends decided to open up a small ski resort, with good food, a bar for grown ups, concessions for kids, stone fireplaces, equipment rentals, a few different things to do out on the hills.... this is what it would feel like- like you're hanging out at a friends' place. Friendly, affordable, warm, and you can let your kids go wherever they want, knowing they are safe and close by. Hotels are down the road, fabulous Traverse City ("jewel of the north") right there, too. Something for everyone.

This past weekend my girlfriends and I (who are all over 55 years of age) went zip lining at Mt. Holiday. It was a fantastic experience. Mark and Chris were our guides and they were great. They even played music that we loved. They never rushed us and made sure we had a great time. If you are anywhere near Traverse City you must try this. The views were fantastic and there is absolutely nothing to be afraid of. Can't wait to do this again!

So on a spur of the moment trip, we left Fort Wayne, IN and decided to head to Michigan. One idea was to go ziplining, and calling all the big name places, they all were booked for today. I saw Mt. Holiday had ziplining, called and they had us down for noon. I have never ziplined in my life, so I was a little nervous to find out this was their opening weekend for this adventure. Our guides, Mark and David put our minds at ease. A 10 station, absolutely heart pounding fun time had a smile permanently on my face! Do yourself a favor and go! Hands down the most fun ever. Mark even took some photos of us and sent them to us. Great job guys...we will be back!

Best burger and margarita in town. Nice wine list, great Friday fish fry and love the steak special. In the summer you can hike the hills, let the kids zipline and in the winter ski, board and snowtube. What a hidden gem!

We like Mt Holiday. The skiing certain isn't big sky, but it's a decent place for the kids to learn. And while they have fun, the adults can enjoy the surprising restaurant and bar. Impressive menu and wide variety at the bar

We took the kids to tube the hill. honestly this was our second choice, but we are very glad now that our first choice didnt work out. everyone at the hill was helpful and happy, the run was perfect for the kids and they had a blast going 7 or 8 times in their hour rental. Even my 4 year old got brave and had them push her down the hill spinning as she laughed the whole way. The only downside was the walk from the lodge to the tubbing hill. It was a ways to go with no clearly marked path.

Elmbrook is a pretty easy golf course. They keep it in good shape and don't charge alot. But what I really respect is the junior tees. They are very open to young golfers learning the game.
