Hi Katie, We appreciate your review, but think you may have the wrong business. We are a sparkling winery in Leelanau. There are a couple of places around us that serve Thai food, and Thai does pair really well with bubbly. : ) If you haven't visited us yet, next time you're in the area pick up some Thai, and pair it with a glass of our bubbly. Thanks for visiting Leelanau and we look forward to seeing you next time you're in the area. Cheers!

Thanks for visiting us and trying our sparkling wines. Our tasting room does get rowdy, especially on Saturdays during the busy season and holiday weekends. We have just opened our TentBar, which is located just outside of our tasting room and features wine from LMawby, MLawrence, and bigLITTLE paired with featured local food items. Our TentBar offers a quieter, more relaxing experience, as we recognize not everyone likes the fun, rowdy atmosphere in our tasting room. Thanks again for visiting us and we hope you enjoyed the rest of your time in Leelanau.

Great place to visit! If you do enjoy Champagne, this is a required tasting. Technically it can't be called champagne because it's not grown & made in the Champagne region of France...however some of the products in the L. Mawby line (Mille vintages, Blanc de Noirs, Blanc de Blancs) are as good as the bubbly I've tasted in France. The L. Mawby line is all made using the Traditional Methode Champenoise (bottle fermented), just like in France. The M. Lawrence line is the less expensive (not that the L. Mawby is expensive) bulk method that is tank fermented and can be fun to try. If you're not a fan of champagne, try some of M. Lawrence items, or the not so traditional items from L. Mawby...there are many products with unique characteristics and varying degrees of dryness or sweetness. Talk to the great tasting room staff and they will help you choose. If you're not a Bubblehead in the Fizz club (like I am), you get two tastings free and then you can buy some cheese and a glass to sip either at a table inside or outside with a view of the vineyard...lovely! This is a required stop while in the area, very nice people with very nice products. Who would have thought that this spot in Michigan would have the same micro-climate as the Champagne region of France. It does and they do a great job utilizing it. While in the gift shop, make sure and purchase a bottle stopper...they're the best for locking the bubbles in should you have any leftovers! (I like theirs better than the one I bought at Moet & Chandon in France.) FYI, both the 2005 Mille and Blanc de Noirs won gold medals at the 2013 Mid-American Wine Competition...and probably some other events that I don't know about. Cheers!

I think this is the only winery in the area that specializes in sparkling wines. The wines we sampled were all crisp and clean. The gentleman doing our pouring was great at helping us choose wines to sample. We purchased a flight tray for $5. It included crackers, a whitefish dip and 2 different half glasses of delicious sparkling wine. I look forward to stopping at this winery again.

Beautiful location, friendly staff and one of the few wineries I can say I love almost everything on the menu.
