The park has pavilions for rent, nice shaded areas, a lot of nice play equipment, the rail trail goes through the park, you can use the park year around. Ice rink, and baseball fields.

When ever we visit Midland, we swing by Emerson Park. My young ones love the playground area, which is one of the best i have seen in Michigan. As well as a playground, there is a skating park, a splash pad, and lots of trails and bridges to walk on. A wonderful end to a day in Midland.

Emerson Park is a classic community park. It has a walking trail and is along the Pere Marquette Rail Trail that travels from Midland to Clare, MI. It is home to Currey Stadium, a high school and community baseball stadium as well as softball diamonds. Several pavilions are available. This area is more often used by locals or sports participants where as the Tridge is more of a tourist park. Another of the gems of Midland. A great place to walk.

We ate a picnic supper here on a week night. They maintain the park very well. There are numerous picnic tables available for your use, though most are under shelters and/or gathered together in large groups and there are not many single tables spread out in the park. Bathrooms and water fountains available. Large shade trees, walking path, playgrounds, near Rail Trail. The large, popular baseball stadium is located here. There are other fields, also, for baseball. There is also a volleyball net set up, as well as basketball. Very scenic. Across from Dahlia Hill at Orchard Dr and W. Main St.
