I've been wanting to take this tour for quite some time and finally got the chance to do so back in August. It's about a 3 hour tour (go ahead and chuckle) from start to finish. The downriver trip takes you past the old Bob-Lo island amusment park which when in operation was only accessable by 2 large steamers and a fleet of smaller craft. The Diamond Jack fleet has a few of the smaller craft that used to service the island and the steamers were mothballed. One of the steamers has a new lease on life and is being restored in Toledo, Oh, at the time of the writing of this review. It was a nice relaxing trip and it was nice to feel like a kid again when we started to approach the island where so many memories were made. Sadly the island i used to know is no longer there and a high end community has sprung up in it's place. But every now and then, and if you know what you were looking at, those memories had a way of peaking out of the past and saying hello old friend. I plan to make this a regular activity that I do over the summer months.

We found to the tour on Groupon and took the tour on the Detroit River. I really enjoyed seeing all that lines the river on both the Detroit and Canada side and learning some of the history along the way. We we able to see the old Boblo building, Kid Rock's house, the remaining mansions (including the Manogian) that are on the river, and went all the way to Lake St. Clair. Even at regular price, this tour is worth it. There are snacks and beverages on board, including beer and wine! Definitely a nice experience and the crew are great!

It was a amazing tour, My son and wife liked it. Very enjoyable 2 hours, no stops. Running around some nice scenario. Cost reasonable, coupon available.

Very enjoyable 2 hours especially if you have visitors from out of town and want to give them a unique view of Detroit and Windsor, Canada.

Nice but with one glaring issue. The downstairs speaker was hit so bad that you can't understand one word of the tour guide.

An excellent tour of the Detroit and Canadian River Front. I purchased the tickets more for my husband as I had grown up in Detroit and knew the area well. I thoroughly enjoyed the tour and was pleasantly surprised. The guide was well-informed and I saw parts of Detroit that I had never seen. We knew to take jackets as I had worked on the river in college. In Detroit a jacket is almost always needed on the water. The launch area is newly renovated, clean and safe and out of town visitors should not fear this area.

We cruised with a group of 110 and had a terrific cruise. The weather was wonderful (76 degrees) and we saw so many things. A highlight was travelling up the Rouge River to the Ford Rouge Complex. This gave a totally different view than from land.

I picked up some Groupons for the Diamond Jack tours for something different with family that was in from out of town. I just want to say it was a wonderful time. I plan on going again later this summer, paying the full price, because it was well worth the money and time. The staff was very pleasant. The info given during the tour was interesting. The weather was perfect for such a cruise. I recommend this tour to all ages.
