I take my 3 year old to Cape Splash when possible. He enjoys the splash pad and kiddie pool area. He even went on the lazy river with me. I was however a little disheartened to see upon my last visit that the "flooring" for the splash pad area is beginning to tear up and bulge. There are several areas where little feet could trip. The city of Cape needs to address this issue immediately. I have not bothered with concessions and heard the lockers are too expensive, so have made sure we only take our towels in so I don't need to rent one. All in all, I am thrilled that Cale has the park, but really hope it is kept up or someone will be injured soon.

We travel the US a lot - at least 5 weeks on the road each year. Cape Splash is by far one of the best pit stops we've made for our family of 5. First of all the price is fantastic - for five of us, the cost was under $25. Second, there is something for everyone - toddler area, lazy river whirlpools, body slides. It was big enough that the tweens felt like they had some freedom, but small enough that I wasn't panicked about giving everybody a little space. We did plan this stop in between cities, so we stopped about three hours into the road trip, stayed here for about 2 1/2 and then the kids slept for about two hours in the car. If it fits into your schedule - go!

We love this place! The prices are very reasonable and there is plenty of seating and things for little ones to do. My 2 year old loves the splash park and kiddie play area. However, I would say that older kids may get bored here. There are only a couple of slides for the bigger kids.

Great place to bring the kiddos and let them play in the water and sun. Love to make a day of it. You never have to leave if you don't want. Food on premises, rest rooms, changing rooms...., they have it all and are close enough to other places if you want to grab a bite to eat before heading home.

The boys had a lot of fun, sadly sometimes the meet the height requirement and other times they didn't for the slides on the same day, management was rather rude about it but management was a teenage girl.

This is a good place to cool off with the family, but if another local pool isn't too crowded I would almost rather go there. I have seen young kids in the pool in underwear! Yuck! Also, I've seen other adults wearing shorts and t-shirts instead of proper swimwear. That is against the rules, but obviously not strictly enforced. My kids always enjoy it though, so I deal with the fact I'm a little grossed out. Thank goodness for germ killing chemicals. Also, there are tons of water bugs in the lazy river sometimes. Basically, it's not great, but will definitely provide fun for the family on a hot day. The concessions are reasonable and they sell a souvenir cup that you can refill for 50 cents. If you need to leave the water park you have to get a 15 minute pass. which I think stinks because if you would like to bring a cooler for lunch then you only have 15 minutes to eat and get back in.

We took a mystery birthday trip from Memphis. Hit Lambert's cafe in Sikeston, and then strolled up the road to Cape Splash. Finally camped out 15 minutes north at Trail of Tears State Park. Great weekend. The lazy river was awesome after a big meal. It moves fast! And the water temperature was great. Our 4 year old loved the lazy river, water fountain park, and the pirate ship slides. She was not quite tall enough for the big slides. Mom and Dad loved those though. Especially, the fully enclosed dark slide! Both admission and surprisingly concessions were very affordable (3 of us got in for around $20 total) I think the park is run by the city. It is smaller than some parks I've been to...but plenty to do for a four year old. We'll be back!

We live 20 minutes from the waterpark but have been very few times - and I'm not sure why we don't go once a week! The price is average, especially since you can play all day if you want. They have plenty of shaded areas, lots of lounge chairs spread around the kiddie area and the deep pool. They have two smaller slides for kids and two larger slides - they are all fun. We had kids in the ages of 2-12 and they all had a blast. They have a large selection of items at the concession stand, reasonable prices. The eating area is shaded and plenty of tables to choose from. The lazy river is a hit, and last summer we had to wait a bit to get a double tube to float in, but this year they have had plenty readily available. They have lockers available for rent, not sure on the pricing for those. The shower / bathrooms were in good condition, considering all the water that gets drug through there. Friendly employees. I noticed a young child who was crying loudly and I didn't see any adult coming to help him...just as I started to ask if he was lost, an employee was racing over to him as well. Good to know they were keeping such a close watch. They have at least one lifeguard at every water area. Good family summer fun!

We had a great time at this waterpark. We went on a Saturday and surprisingly, it wasn't too crowded. It is small but has everything a young child loves. I took 3 kids, ages 3-9. They all had a great time. I think this park is geared more towards younger children. Best of all, it is really inexpensive. $5 for kids, $6 for adults. Food is comparable pricewise to any fast food place. We will return again this summer.

Cape splash offers families an amazing waterproof at an even better value! They have everything including a kids splash area, water slides and a lazy river. Our family favorite s the vortex pool! We visit during the week when there isn't a huge crowd! It can get very full during the weekend but when kids only pay $5 to get in you should expect it to be packed on the weekend! There is a snack shop and the prices are reasonable. My only complaint is that you pay each and every time you get in and out of the locker so bring quarters!

This place has poor staffing. All of the life guards are 18 or less. They were very rude and treated us very poorly. I will never go back again! My brother went to tell my daughter to get out of the lazy river and the 16 year old life guard blew her whistle at him and told him that "He didn't belong there", um.. I paid 100.00 for my family to swim at this "water park" I think we did belong there.

2 big slides, 2 medium slides, small pirate ship type play area with slide, and splash pad with my favorite - LAZY RIVER. whirlpool is ok. French fries in snack area are the best! compare to Steak N Shake. Local pizza place delivers the pizza there so you can purchase small ones. prices are reasonable in this snack shop. entry fee is reasonable. I think it was $5-7 range for adult. I visit yearly here since I have family in the area. its not big, perfect! its fun.

The Cape Splash Aquatic Center is a great way to spend a summer day in Southeast Missouri. It is clean, and tons of fun for the kids, especially young ones. The only negative aspects are the crowds (it gets very full very quickly) and the fact that once you've passed the age of 10, the excitement and activities just aren't there. Food is also a little pricy, but once can expect that from a small town venue.

I think the water park is too small. Too many little kids and not enough things to entertain the kids with. The lazy river is small and not enough slides for the little kids to slide down. There should be a cut off limit of how many people are allowed in the park.Make sure you stock up on quarters too. Every time you get into your locker, you have to pay a quarter. Kind of stupid if you ask me. Never used the consession stands. Too pricey for my family. Going to try the Farmington water park this year. Heard it was better and less crowded.

This place is pretty fun if you go on the fun slides, the two large ones toward the back of the park- the lazy river is also cool. There are too many little kid rides and slides, though. This water park needs some more older-kids/teens rides. Still though, it is a fun place to go on a hot Summer day to cool off and spend times with friends and family!
