West Tyson is a park that is away exclusively woods. It's got a nice central trail that is hilly. The park connects to other county parks on the back side. You might see deer and will surely see small wildlife.

In the summer and fall, we hike there almost daily...right now it is sooooo muddy...that you need waders...be careful for snakes..we saw a rattler last year.....so if you bring your dogs..keep them on a leash..(leash law anyway..but not everyone obliges)...People hike/walk/ride their bikes(i can not believe the ones that do) it is terribly rocky and hilly...so if you do ride your bike..make sure you are extra extra careful......we only have done the 6 mile and 2 mile hikes....but some go as far as lone elk park.... It is close to home and beautiful.....
