We were looking for an RV camp sight along Highway 66 in Missouri, wanted something close to the exit and cheap, only wanted to pull in, have electric and pull out early. State parks are less used in winter months, there was only one other camper. Most of the sights are gravel and had a grade would have been difficult to use for an RV, the one other camper had a 40' RV pulled into the off duty "camper host" sight so the place can accommodate a large unite, we need a 23' handicap and theirs was paved with easy access to the one electric bathroom that remained open in the winter. Surprised to see how nicely attended to the place was, trash was emptied, bathrooms were clean and had paper, leaves were blown off of trails from sight to sight and to the bathrooms, someone had done a thoughtful job even when few people were there. At $17 for electric hook up and electric bathroom (which was heated but had no shows this time of year) the price was right. The park looked like a very nice local place, roads were very well maintained and would have made for excellent walking or bike riding. No amenities, saw no ranger, left our money in the box. Would stop again.

Robertsville State Park was once part of a plantation. It's easy to step off the trails and find yourself in real Ozark Mountain forests, yet it's small enough that you won't get lost.Best, there's excellent roads and parking.

We stayed 2 nights here. Not super impressed with the lots for rv's. We had to wedge a 40 ft motorhome into an acute angled narrow treed lot....good times. Could barely use our slides. Lots of bites. Showers were nice. We were so close to the next lot, we could here them talking and slamming car doors at 5:00am. Not my favorite place...probably won't be back. Hookups were not great either. 30 amp, no water.

Robertsville has a nice, secluded campground. Facilities (bathrooms, water access) were good, about average for the MO state park system, which in my opinion is better than average nationwide.During our trip we experienced a wiring fault in our pop up trailer, which I initially thought may have been the result of a faulty electrical connection at the camp site. The campground host and campground maintenance staff were kind enough to troubleshoot the problem with a multimeter until the problem was isolated to my trailer. This park does offer access to the Meremac River, but we didn't use it on this trip.

When I visited the park, I was warned by locals not to wander off any of the paths due to some folks whose property bordered the park, who were territorial. Didn't matter if I was within the park boundaries, and that made the whole experience kinda creepy.I don't live too terribly far from this location and I am aware that this area is plagued by meth and crack dealers. There was a lot of trash in the park on the day I visited and walked with my dog.Have never gone back, as there are too many other parks in this area that are clean and feel safe.

Robertsville State Park, near the Meramec River, is a site containing remains of giant Mastodons. Exhibits give detailed descriptions of these massive animals.

The park was large but we had a difficult time finding where the walking trails started. They need to have them marked so the public can find them without so much difficulty.
