My better half and I had wanted to go for a while and finally decided to do it. Got the tour and learned a little more about Missouri wine making, then did a tasting. All the wines are good, depending on what you like. Neat store and everyone was very helpful and very nice to us. I would recommend it if you're close by.

St. James MO is the halfway point between our home and OKC, where we were visiting friends. We stopped at this winery because it was so accessible to I-44. We were extremely pleased with the decor and really enjoyed tasting the wine and visiting with the server.

St. James Winery is a very nice spot to stop along the road and visit. Kind people and nice atmosphere. Oh, and they have very good wine to select from also!!

The store is filled with the normal wine related items that every winery has. They offer spreads, cheeses and tea in addition to their wine. It seemed that their wine was not their primary revenue in the store (see note at bottom). Wine tasting was fun and the young lady was well versed on St James wines, just not so much in general. My wife is German and she likes her sweet wines. She felt the strawberry wine was very good and offered a distinct aroma and flavor.* The wine is good and we bought 6 bottles, only to stop for fuel at the gas station on the corner and find that they same wine was $4.00 per bottle cheaper!

Had some of their wine over thanksgiving and decided to stop by and check out their store since we were close by. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. My wife and I had a great time with the wine tasting. You get to sample six wines each. We ended up buying a mixed case. Had a great time. Would definitely recommend.

Stopped by during a trip to Rolla, have not been here in over fifteen years! Much improved, enjoyed the tasting - so many wines to choose from! Helpful, knowledgeable staff!

Oct 19, 2014 Visit: We go here 3 to 4 times a year and really like the case sales they offer. The man who we always ask for at wine tasting is very much an industry expert. His name starts with a "b" so ask for him. At checkout, there was a mixup but "b" ordered it to be fixed when the person at the register was waffling about it. Another younger adult male employee stood near by flaking out saying almost non-understandable things about the situation so I am not sure what that was all about. Most often they are much better in there service at checkout. Most of their wines are good to great but I used to not like Norton until I tried theirs. The 2008 was great and the 2009 is even better.

You'll want to stop here. So many varieties - so little time. Bill was great while we had our wine tasting. After we had some cheese and crackers sitting at the little eating area. Great wine - I always thought St. James Wine was like the Boones Farm variety you find at gas stations which is where you'll find a good amount of SJW. Stop in - try some - you'll leave with some (maybe as much as we left with!)GO.

I was about 8 miles from the Drury Inn in Rolla when I spotted the winery along the interstate. I pulled off the next exit and went over to try the wines. They had a number of very nice wines! I recommend stopping by!

Stopped in at St. James Winery just to sample a couple of wines firsthand, since their wines are available at stores in our area. Lady in front was friendly and helpful. The shop even had a couple of varieties available in small bottles. Quite a few other items in the store, including shirts, cheese and jellies. Since I-44 can be a long drive St. James Winery can offer travelers a nice break.

My husband and I visited here fist thing on a Saturday morning out of convenience. It had not been open long but we were created as soon as we walked in. The employees were knowledgeable and friendly. I completed a complimentary wine tasting and bought a bottle of red velvet and peach wine...they are a must!!! Very pleasant experience!!!

My family and I stopped at the Winery to purchase a gift basket for an upcoming wedding. We picked out all of the items for the basket without one person asking us for assistance. When we went to the front to pay for our basket we noticed some cute buckets with the logo on the front. We asked if instead of a basket we could put the items in the bucket. Nickie (cashier) said that the items would not fit. OK no problem with us we will take a basket. She said to return at 11:00 AM. When we returned there was all of our items still sitting on the counter. We did run an errand over to Huffman's for about 20 minutes. There was not one customer in the store, But there were 4 employees snacking and having some beverages, yet Nickie said she was just to busy to run over to the warehouse to grab a basket. Over the 25 years I have lived in St. James I have spent thousands of dollars on the products made at the St. James Winery. Guess what?? Not any more!! Lazy employees with no customer service experience, if you don't treat the customers right, somebody else will!!! Good Bye!!

We try to stop here every time we are traveling through the area. Makes a great break from the road, to stretch our legs, restock on some wine, buy some gifts. Staff is usually friendly and helpful. Restrooms are clean. Even if you don't drink wine, this is still a great place. They have lots of different gifts in stock, that change from time to time. So, there is always something new, each time we come. Also, sell fruit juice.A recommended stop.

We stopped at this location to get a bottle of wine for my Aunt. They do have tours through the cellars and wine tasting. For those that do not like alcohol, they have several different Juices to taste, salsa, bbq sauce. They also have unique gifts available. The wine is wonderful, so is the juice, AMAZING BBQ SAUCE if you like it on the spicy side..... It was a wonderful time.

I stopped here with my grandkids to show them how wine and grape juice was made, after passing numerous vineyards in the area. There are tours through the cellars, but we were too late for that. No explanations about the process. There were a couple of adults at the tasting bar, but no one approached us about grape juice tasting, so after a few minutes of walking around their gift shop, I apologized to my grandkids and we left. Weren't very welcoming, and I didn't know about the grape juice tasting, or I would have asked.
