We've lived within 20 miles of this museum and never made the trip until our Church had a function there. I could have spent a really long time looking at the two floors of memorabilia of all types from the wooden bicycle thru the rules for a school teacher in the 20th century. They had walls of pictures of buildings pre damming of the Lake of the Ozarks up to the 1980's. Tuscumbia is on the Osage River and they built paddleboats, Anchor Milling was there and the two floors were filled with interesting artifacts, including an early telephone switchboard. I want to go back and spend more time pouring through all the different and unique items. I truly have not seen a museum with this much 'stuff'! A $2.00 donation is suggested and call first to make sure they're open. You won't be disappointed.
