My whole family had a blast at this place, making crafts, seeing cool exhibits, super colorful and super fun. I could go on and on, but the pictures are far more cool then words could explain.....and the price is AWESOME!! Thanks Hallmark.

Hallmark sponsors Kaleidoscope. It has been an institution for grade school children taking field trips for years in KC. Bring your kids and help them explore their creative side working on an art/craft project at Kaleidoscope, they will have a blast.

We found Kaleidoscope to be an innovative attraction. They, in part, use left over materials from Hallmark manufacturing. Children (and adults) are invited to create puzzles, water colorings and various crafts with these recycled materials. They provide all the necessary elements to create. Best of all it's completely FREE. The craft sessions are approximately 45 minutes in duration. They are located within the Crown Center and we found it somewhat difficult to locate.

I had read the reviews and was fairly excited to visit Kaleidoscope. When we arrived, my boys (ages 11 & 8) were totally bored. There seemed to be several younger children - I would guess the average age to be around 5. There were lots of places you could create your own artwork, but the markers were all very dried out. We ended up leaving after walking around for about 5 minutes. I wish I would have known about this place when my kids were younger. I think they would have really liked it.

The kids loved creating Valentine's and different art and music projects here. The set up is very fantastitical, with several stations to create different types of art. The kids favorites were the fluorescent light station, the puzzle making station and the number art station. Best part, they were able to take home everything they made.

Smiles abound on kids faces as they discover and create inside these walls. Hallmark has generously stocked and staffed this to ensure fun for all. Even as a "helper" I had a ball. One of KC's best bargains.

Very good deal to do for free! And it's a first class place. Several stations set up for kids to come through and make different little craft pieces. I wouldn't make it a destinations, but if you have a couple hours to kill downtown your kids will love you for stopping in.

This is a great experience for smaller kids (6 and under), but not so much for older kids. It's basically a big huge craft time. The greatest part is that it is free. Make sure to get there early enough that you don't have to wait long (they only take so many in at a time). There is also a timed limit on how long you can be in there. You can get back in line and go again, but my kiddos had enough time the first shift we went in.

A big giant craft room, with tons of fun supplies and activities for the kids and it is all FREE!! Thank you Hallmark for providing this for families. My kids had a fantastic time.

It's free and fun. My kids have always enjoyed going here. Be sure to check ahead of time, the different times of the sessions.

My 4 & 5 year old nieces loved Kaleidoscope and the adults enjoyed it too. It was tough to get the 13 year old out of the black light room. They decorated bags, made puzzles, painted with watercolors, and so much more at no cost. The length of the session seemed short but since the number of entrants is limited, we didn’t feel like we had to wait for any of the activities. Thank you Hallmark for providing this amazing place in KC!

This was our second visit. The staff was friendly. There were more supplies this time, including big roll of 2-color tissue paper, long strips of paper, gold crowns, big stickers, and leftover Hallmark card fronts. It was great for our kids, but I suggest you have man-to-man defense at this attraction. The timed session seemed shorter this time than last year. Overall, at FREE, it is still the best wholesome family fun you can find in KC!

Sponsored by Hallmark, this kid friendly place allows students to make special projects using Hallmark supplies. Make reservation for large groups.

It is next to the Hallmark Welcome Center & it is free. All you have to do is go in & sign up for a time. My kids had a ball here! It's a large work room filled with crazy decorations & has work stations that have all kinds of art supplies.... special colored paper, ribbon, letter shapes, number shapes, markers, paint, glow in the dark paints.... and kids can create anything they can think of. There are no art teachers. It is all just what the kids can come up with on their own. They even have a machine that will turn the kid's drawing into a puzzle. My kids are ages 11 & 8 & I was a little worried the 11 year old might think this was too young for him but they both had a lot of fun. Spent over an hour here & they would love to go back.

We stopped by on a whim because I checked out Tripadvisor from my phone and figured what the heck. I have kids 3, 12, and 15, and all loved it. There are lots of arts and crafts to do, and they have several different themed rooms in which to do them, including a glow in the dark room where you get to paint with melted crayons. You can also paint with water colors or make your own puzzle. We live outside the city, kaleidoscope isn't so bit that we would go into the city just for it, however, would definitely keep it on the To Do list the next time we are in town.
